WWE Raw Review 10/22/12

Note: After the way this show ended last week, I find myself hoping that Ryback is going to be a good fit for the main event. I also think Cena was not ready to face CM Punk. So I guess this is suppose to be a good thing for fans? I also think it is time for Team Hell No to end. Ok, now I got my opinion out the way, here's WWE Raw..........

Match#1: Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio vs. Rhodes Scholars - Finals of the #1 Contenders for the Tag Team Titles
Winners: Rhodes Scholars
(Thank you so much for a good match to start the show. I actually think the end is near for Team Hell No. I loved that the luchadors did not win because we will see a match with Rey and Sin Cara. I also am happy to see that Raw can start without some bullshit long segment. Good work WWE!)

Match#2: Kofi Kingston vs. Michael McGillicutty
Winner: Kofi Kingston
(This was a boring match. It was nice to see Joe Hennig actually in a public match. I know what his name is but we all know who he really is. The Miz was doing commentary. This was just a jobber match to make Kofi look good.)

John Cena and CM Punk Promo: Cena happy to see someone other than himself in a PPV match against CM Punk. CM Punk comes out to rain on his parade. Cena wants to fight CM Punk. We get a tease of a match. CM Punk and Paul Heyman walk away.
(Boring.............)

Match#3: Antonio Cesaro vs. Justin Gabriel
Winner: Justin Gabriel
(Holy shit! A jobber got over on a mid card title holder. I did not think this was going to be a good match but with Gabriel winning, we might see something different now. Is this a chage for the better? I do want to see someone different with the U.S. title.)

In Ring Segment: AJ Lee and Vince McMahon are in the ring. AJ says there are allegations that she has been playing around with a WWE Superstar. AJ goes into a sad story about her life. She thanks the fans for being Raw GM. Paul Heyman comes out to rub salt in her wounds. He comes out to put himself to become the new Raw GM. Vince names Vickie Guerrero as the managing supervisor of Raw. Heyman wanted Vickie to undo what Vince did last week. She does not and makes a rematch with Punk and Sheamus. AJ does get some licks in by beating Vickie.
(So AJ is done? Why? I like her. Vince naming Vickie was stupid as all fucking hell. What the fuck is going on with this show? This is now going to be the biggest fuck up of all time for WWE Raw. I do like the fact that AJ snaps and beats Vickie. That just made my night.)

Match#4: Ryback vs. The Miz
Winner: Ryback
(This was a clinic for Ryback. We did some good points with Miz but Ryback is gearing up to being the new Goldberg. This was the most entertaining match with Ryback in it. I did love every second of it.)

Backstage: Kaitlyn confront Eve. Eve beats up Kaitlyn. Layla gets involved. Three chicks fighting.
(Thank you so much Vince for this little bit of heaven. I loved seeing these women fight. Thank you Vince.)

Match#5: Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
(This was the best match of this year. Ziggler was selling big time. DB was going all over the place. this should have been a title match for the ages. This was something completely different for a Raw match. Even seeing Kane at ringside was a good thing. The ending was kind of lame because of the whole yes/no thing. This match was at least a four star match until the ending.)

Match#6: Big Show vs. Kane
Winner: Big Show
(So we get a good match. Kane did put up a good fight until the KO punch from Big Show. This was still a good match to see and on paper. Ugh, however, the ending with Rhodes Scholars coming in to beat up Team Hell No was weak. What's funny is that Prime Time Players did that first. Also why is this going to be a clusterfuck of a tag team title match? We did get to see Show throw Stryker around before the match.)

Match#7: Alberto Del Rio vs. Zack Ryder
Winner:
(Zack Ryder is on Raw!!!!!! Well that's good right? ADR and RR is getting boring and stale. I want to see JBL come in and kill ADR and make RR piss on himself. This really was a quick match. I think this was a wasted match. I say that because this was pointless.)

Main Event: CM Punk vs. Sheamus - Champ vs. Champ Lumberjack Match
Winner: CM Punk with an assist to Big Show
(Well this was a good match. Lots of action with the lumberjacks. This could have been a better match without the lumberjack but it was good for maybe a four star match. Ryback comes in after CM Punk beats Sheamus. Ryback basically kills Punk. This is how you end a show. Good work WWE.)

Final Thoughts: So the biggest news of this episode is that AJ Lee had to quit her job because she had dinner with John Cena. They replaced her with Vickie Guerrero who was married to Edge and also manages Dolph Ziggler. So we basically get some comedy from Kane and DB. This was a good show even though the mess was mostly bad acting. See you all for TNA Impact.
