WWE Smackdown Review 1/31/14

Note: After watching TNA Impact, it is the same thing as always. This is the end of the week and we always end with WWE Smackdown. We are past Royal Rumble and not going to the next PPV which is Elimination Chamber. So we know that basically there were four spots filled on Monday. Cena, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and the champ RKO are in. We have two matches to fill the other spots. Also this is the return of Christian. Hopefully he is around to give us something to talk about. Also there should be more and hopefully there is something more this week. So time to watch WWE Smackdown...

Match#1: Dolph Ziggler vs. Antonio Cesaro - Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
Winner: Antonio Cesaro
(I will admit that this was the best match to start the show. This was better than seeing a mid card title match. I am still pissed that EC PPV main event was 2/3 filled and tonight was the other 1/3 filled. I was happy to see Dolph get this rare opportunity because he is either in the doghouse with WWE or he just is the best midcarder next to Kofi Kingston. As for Cesaro, well this was his defying match to be in the main event. This was a good match. Ziggler was all over the place and had this match in the bag. However, Cesaro neutralized Ziggler. Not happy about the ending but happy we got someone new in the main event. )

Match#2: Xavier Woods vs. Fandango
Winner: Fandango
(This was boring. This was so boring that I made dinner and desert. Plus don't like Fandango and thinks Xavier Woods is the new dancing fool. Moving on....)

Match#3: Prime Time Players vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel
Winners: Ryback and Curtis Axel
(I was happy to see this match end not because of the guys in it. It was because another black tag team broke up. These guys should have ended years ago. What was sad was Darren Young was busted open and we got to see blood on WWE TV. So what is going to happen with these men? Cryme Time broke up and JTG still works in WWE. So will we see one of these men in TNA soon? Darren Young came out of the closet and might not be going anywhere but Titus O'Neil might be jobbing on Main Event for a while. Moving on...)

Match#4: Christian vs. Jack Swagger - Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
Winner: Christian
(So Christian got one more title shot? Why does that bother me? Simply because unlike his buddy Edge, he is about to run out of championship opportunities. I was going to admit this was boring but I guess seeing Christian go for one more shot is better than seeing Cena/Orton for the 1000th time. Plus we all know Jack Swagger is a jobber and a midcarder for life. )

Match#5: Kofi Kingston vs. Damien Sandow
Winner: Kofi Kingston
(I feel sorry for both men in this match. This was like watching two men who don't have nothing to lose. It was said that both these men worked their asses off in this match for nothing. I can't say anything more so moving on....)

Match#6: Cody Rhodes vs. Road Dogg
Winner: Cody Rhodes
(This was so good that I wished this was a street fight. These men were fighting in the ring. Goldust and Billy Gunn fighting outside the ring. This shows that old school and new school can mix. This also shows that WWE is trying to have a new and fresh tag team division. This was the proof of this cool and sweet concept. This could have ended the show but we have to end the show with the best team in WWE. )

Main Event: The Shield vs. Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio
Winners: The Shield
(This was awesome. I only say that because seeing The Wyatt Family try to scare off The Shield was cool. I loved that this is going to happen. Also this match was better than most Smackdown main events because we did not get Cena or Orton. We got Daniel Bryan. Also it was sick to see the real superstar in this match: Roman Reigns. This was the night of the Shield but this had Reigns all over. He took out Sheamus and damn near killed Rey Mysterio. So I am happy to see this show end. )

Final Thoughts: We end the week with The Shield being the team to beat in the WWE. Most of this show was to fill spots for the EC PPV. Also what is funny is that we got no Cena, Orton, and no bullshit. This was not a bad show. That's because we got Daniel Bryan back in the main event not seeing Cena/Orton. I guess WWE is listening to the fans about watching WWE Smackdown. I just hope they hear me when I say it is time to move WWE Smackdown off Syfy and either on USA or somewhere that isn't a mismatch. See you all for what could be a good WWE Raw show...

TNA Impact Review 1/30/14

Note: When TNA had two weeks of a PPV like TV show, I will admit that the second part of it was better than the first. Now we got that out of the way, it is time go see shows from England. This should be fun for Magnus because he is british. So this will fill the void while TNA either sinks or swims to be relevant. Hopefully this would be better than WWE going back to the past to make people see what is about to happen. So time for TNA Impact from Scotland.

Match#1: Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim and Lei'd Tapa
Winners: Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky
(I will admit this was a good way to start the show. I got to see my Gail Kim but she seems naked without the title. Lei'd Tapa seems useless in this match. I have said many times that I don't think Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky couldn't wrestle. However, this was the perfect FAP match. Moving on...)

Match#2: James Storm and Gunner vs. Kaz and Daniels
Winners: James Storm and Gunner
(I will admit that all the drama prior to this match was needed and necessary. I think it was good to see Storm and Gunner bury the hatchet. I loved that Kaz and Daniels tried to cause drama in this tense moment. Seeing this match was good for me as a fan because this was a classic tag team match. Even though Gunner and Storm are not together it is nice to see this team move on and forward. As for Kaz and Daniels, they can't do no wrong but they can be the best heel team in TNA. )

Match#3: Abyss and Eric Young vs. BroMans - TNA Tag Team Title Match
Winners: No Contest
(I wasn't surprised to see this ending because this was not about the tag titles but to finally end the storyline with Abyss/Joseph Park and Eric Young. Hearing that next week they will have a Monster's Ball match next week is good because unlike WWE, TNA will go hardcore. Other than that, it was worth it to see Abyss take out everyone in the ring. )

Main Event: Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle vs. Ethan Carter III and Magnus
Winner: Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle
(I am glad this match happened. I wanted to see Samoa Joe do what he does best. I wanted to see Angle do what he does best. I will admit that seeing Magnus as champion is good for TNA and good for the fans. At least he is going to be the best heel in the company right now. This was going to be better than seeing the sendoff for Sting and AJ Styles. This was an actual match that had a clean winner. I think it has to do with the new TNA investor who ended up being former WWE star MVP. Also seeing the American Wolves as his bodyguards was nice. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are the future of TNA. Same with MVP. As for this match, Samoa Joe is going to kill Magnus. He made him tap. Thank you TNA for this ending and the best reveal of 2014. )

Final Thoughts: For this to be a two hour show this had less matches that watching WWE Raw and that's three hours long. I think TNA does do better shows outside the U.S. It seems like all the shows in England, Scotland and other UK places are going to be better because they tend to do more for those fans. I think it is sad that this was short as hell but the end paid off. MVP is in TNA. That just made me take back my earlier predictions of TNA going away this year. Also we got the American Wolves as the new tag team to beat. So I hope this leads to something good. Especially since MVP is better than having Sting or AJ Styles around for now. See you all for WWE Smackdown...

WWE Raw Review 1/27/14

Note: Last night just proves that WWE does not fucking care for their fans. Basically, you paid for a shitty PPV with some good spots. As we get ready for tonight, just think if this will clean the nasty taste of having the Triple H/Kliq era. I will say that if you do watch this show, don't expect much unless you want to see Roman Reigns turn face, Daniel Bryan come out to do a pipebomb, or see CM Punk do something drastic. I love WWE but felt slighted. Also I watch people drunk into a stupor during this PPV. So tonight is a welcome change. So let's see if WWE Raw can erase last night's disasppointment. Here's WWE Raw...

Match#1: Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Real Americans
Winner: Real Americans
(As I am watching this shitty opening match, I ask myself what was the point of this match? I am tired of seeing Swagger and Cesaro act like they are a team. We all know that Cesaro is better. Swagger is a joke with a gimmick. Zeb is just a bigot with a gimmick. Rey is not going to retire anytime soon and Sin Cara as a character is about to disappear. So this was basically the best time to make snacks and drinks. Moving on...)

Match#2: Fandango vs. R-Truth
Winner: R-Truth
(So here was another match that had no purpose or bearing to the next PPV. Basically this was more so a way for people to know Xavier Woods who is going for his PhD. Wait, we saw another sighting of Emma from NXT. That means we will see a feud with her and Summer Rae. Other than that, boring......)

Match#3: Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz - Battle of Cleveland
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
(This is where the show got interesting. Thank you Miz and Ziggler for finally making this match watchable. Seeing that there is no Detroit wrestlers in the WWE currently, this was as good as it got. The Miz basically did what he does best and that goes for Ziggler as well. This was a match of close pins and fast action. Too bad WWE is focusing on past guys who are friends with Triple H. This was the bright spot of the show. )

Match#4: Ryback and Curtis Axel vs. The Usos
Winner: The Usos
(I have nothing to say about this match because I think it is a waste of talent for The Usos to beat two guys who are not real tag team wrestlers. This was just sad to watch. Moving on....)

Match#5: Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
(This match was so bad that people were cheering for the announcers. We got cheers for JBL, Jerry Lawler and even Michael Cole. This was so boring that I had to start drinking soda to perk up. Plus it made me sick to watch another repeat match over again. )

Match#6: New Age Outlaws vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust - WWE Tag Team Title Rematch
Winner: No Contest
(Their match at the PPV was good. This was bullshit. I would have loved to see this end clean but this was time for Brock Lesnar to be a dick. He took out Cody and Goldust with chair shots. He basically did the same thing from the PPV with Big Show. Brock had a temper tantrum and laid out the faces. New Age Outlaws knew this was going to happen. )

Match#7: Total Divas (The Bella Twins, Naomi and Cameron) vs. AJ Lee, Tamina, Aksana and Alicia Fox
Winner: Total Divas
(Same shit different day. So tired of seeing this shit because it means that there are no plans for this division aside from making these women look like idiots on TV. AJ Lee is wasted because of these wannabe divas. Thank god there was no Eva Marie and basically Jojo is back in NXT. I was happy to see AJ Lee and Tamina since that's the only reason why I watch any divas match. )

Main Event: John Cena, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan vs. The Shield - Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
Winners: John Cena, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan by DQ
(I think it is fitting to end this review because this was the most idiotic way to end the show with a DQ finish with the faces winning the match. )

Final Thoughts: This was suppose to be the show that erased last night's PPV out of our minds. This show just made sure we had to see the same shit over and over again. First of all, Brock basically wasted energy beating up on Cody and Goldust. Why? To make him look like a beast. Then you got Batista basically waiting for the champion for Wrestlemania. So you had those guys waste time. Also how many times was the WWE network or WWE App was mentioned? My god, WWE is killing me with the promotion of shit. I think I watched more commercials than usual. So basically, you all watched Vince promote his business more so now that it is Wrestlemania time. So good night and see you all for TNA Impact from Scotland...

WWE Royal Rumble 2014 1/26/14

Note: As a kid, watching this PPV was a sign that spring will be here in less than 60 days. We all know that Royal Rumble is the beginning of the Wrestlemania season. It is a short season but it is when WWE refresh storylines and also gear up for title changes and possible matches for the rest of the year. As optimistic as that sounded the reality of what I said is that we are about to see the reality of WWE in 2014. So time to see history...here's WWE Royal Rumble.

Pre-Show/Match#1: New Age Outlaws vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust
Winners: New Age Outlaws
(I think this could have been on the actual PPV. This was not a bad match. I love good tag team matches when it has a purpose to it. I wasn't surprised that this match would happen but my shock was seeing the New Age Outlaws win anything. However, since Triple H is running WWE, this didn't surpise me but it did shock me. Basically, three of these men were in the Attitude Era and three were great back then and is great now. This was good enough to start the PPV. )

Match#2: Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt
Winner: Bray Wyatt
(My god, I will shut the fuck up when it comes Bray Wyatt. This match proves that WWE isn't bothering listening to their fans. This match was so good that I wish it was for the title. I wish I was there live to see it up close. I think Bray Wyatt is better than his gimmick allows. Daniel Bryan is a great wrestler but WWE is going to make him stay in the mid card just to make Triple H's friends happy. I hope to see this match again at the next PPV and make it in Hell In A Cell. )

Match#3: Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar
Winner: Brock Lesnar
(The best match between these men was when the ring collapse. This was the shittiest match between them. What made this worse was that since we will see Orton vs. Brock at the next PPV, we had to see Brock be the bigger man. This was so bad that I wished I was playing Smackdown vs. Raw 2004 or 2005. Moving on...)

Match#4: John Cena vs. Randy Orton
Winner: Randy Orton with an assist to the Wyatt Family
(THIS WAS BULLSHIT!!!!!!! THIS WAS BULLSHIT!!!!!! THIS WAS BULLSHIT!!!!!!! THIS WAS BULLSHIT!!!!!! I will admit seeing The Wyatt Family beating up Cena was a good thing but like I said THIS WAS BULLSHIT!!!!!!! THIS WAS BULLSHIT!!!!!! Time for the Royal Rumble...)

26. Dean Ambrose eliminated by Roman Reigns
27. CM Punk eliminated by Kane (who came back out)
28. Sheamus eliminated by Roman Reigns
29. Roman Reigns eliminated by Batista

Winner: Batista
(I will focus on the bad shit before I speak on the good things. First of all, the IWC was pissed because there was no Daniel Bryan. I will agree with them because if you had everyone else in the Rumble that already had matches, why not him? Simple answer is WWE does not want Daniel Bryan to be more popular as John Cena. Why was JBL in the Rumble? Because WWE didn't want to add people in that the fans don't know. Why was El Torito in this match? Because of the gimmick plus Santino is out with an injury. Why was Rey Mysterio booed? He wasn't Daniel Bryan. Why did Kane come out in slacks? This is Corporate Kane not scary Kane. So what was good about this year's Royal Rumble? Roman Reigns broke Kane's record of eliminations. Roman Reigns is about to be the new face of WWE for years to come. So far, this whole thing was to make Roman Reigns look good. Batista came back to WWE to have a title shot and won the whole thing. I say that this was good because it was expected in my opinion. Kofi Kingston did another stunt to avoid getting eliminated. That was good but also bad. Basically this match set up all the feuds for the next few PPVs. I think WWE having one guy from NXT was good most people don't watch NXT unless you have Hulu or scan through YouTube. This was a good match but the ending was predictable. )

Final Thoughts: I said this outloud as this PPV ended and it fits with this part of my review. Basically, it is 2005 and Batista wins the Rumble and Randy Orton is the champion. Brock Lesnar is next to be in the main event for the title. This is what happens when Triple H let his friends in the main event. So you got New Age Outlaws as tag champions and Kevin Nash back in WWE. I was waiting to see Scott Hall come out. Before I go off in a rant about Triple H and the kliq, let me talk about the show as a whole. Basically all of the IWC was screwed and pissed with this PPV. I wasn't surprised. The tag match was a shock because I wanted to see them have the titles until the next PPV. However, Cody and Goldust is my dream Wrestlemania match and hopefully will happen. As for Bray and Bryan, that was a good match to start the show but the ending was wrong to me. Also, I wish WWE would not have Cena and Orton fight for a title ever again. My god, I took a piss through out this match. I think Cena is worse than Hogan on a good day. At least he changed his gimmick. Brock and Big Show was basically the worst thing ever. It was worst that watching Sting and Jeff Hardy with the quick ending. Going to bed, hopefully WWE Raw will clean up this bullshit. See you all for WWE Raw...

WWE Smackdown Review 1/24/14

Note: I know I say this a lot but it is the end of the wrestling week. When it comes to WWE Smackdown, it is like waiting for either a good way to end the week of wrestling or it leaves a bad taste in your mouth all weekend. People need to understand that WWE is trying to entertain people but I want action. My thing was back in the day to see Smackdown outdo Raw. However, it is a rare thing to see Smackdown actually be a separate show. So let's dig into this show and hope for a separate show even though we will get a Raw review every hour. Time for WWE Smackdown...

Match#1: Big Show and Rey Mysterio vs. Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger)
Winner: Big Show and Rey Mysterio
(I will admit that this was not the best match to start the show. I mean basically, Big Show could have ended this match with one punch. Also it was sad to see Rey being wasted in this match. At least he ended the match. Sorry but this was pointless except for seeing Paul Heyman try to punk Big Show. Moving on...)

Match#2: The Miz vs. Brodus Clay
Winner: The Miz
(I could not help but laugh my ass off in this match. Why? It is because Wade Barett was doing his bad news gimmick and was basically saying what I could say about this match. Thank you Miz for making this a quick match. Wade Barett just made me laugh my ass off. Moving on...)

Match#3: Ryback and Curtis Axel vs. Los Matadores
Winners: Ryback and Curtis Axel
(Channel changer....I just changed channels. This was just sad. Moving on...)

Match#4: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper vs. Prime Time Players
Winners: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
(So this was a weird match to watch. I get the point of this was to setup the match with Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt. Other than that, this was so quick that I could not get comfortable. Also just realizing that this show is incredibly quick. More commercials than actions. I was happy to see Daniel Bryan but he wasn't wrestling. What the fuck?)

Match#5: Kofi Kingston vs. Fandango
Winner: Kofi Kingston
(I actually watch this match. This was so boring to me that I spend the time playing Tetris. Kofi is not entertaining anymore. I hate Fandango. So this was like watching PBS with all the interruptions about donations. Time for the main event.)

Main Event: The Shield and New Age Outlaws vs. The Usos, Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Big E. Langston
Winners: The Usos, Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Big E. Langston by DQ
(Usually, matches like these would be considered in my opinion as a clusterfuck. I mean any match larger than 3 on 3 is basically a clusterfuck. This wasn't really a clusterfuck. You have old and new. You have good and bad. This had all mid card titles in this match. I will admit that I marked out to New Age Outlaws because they still could be relevant in the WWE. Also just note that this could have been better with a winner. However, the ending was good enough to end this quick show. )

Final Thoughts: This was a short Smackdown in my opinion. I mean there was more shit from WWE Raw and commercials. I feel like this show is nothing more than the end of the week review. I mean if I have to watch WWE Main Event just to see some actions, I won't. I don't understand how WWE will have a network of new and old content. I mean WWE on Demand was basically the way to get old shows and PPVs. This was just a shitty show. No Daniel Bryan in action! No CM Punk in action! Repeating the shit from WWE Raw isn't content. See you all for WWE Royal Rumble. At least that will have lots of content.

TNA Genesis/Impact Review 1/23/14

Note: So it is time for TNA to shine. Question - Why does this feel more like the actual PPV? That is a simple answer. Even though all of the IWC and other wrestling fans know what is going on tonight, it does feel like last week's show was more so the regular Impact show. Tonight's Genesis PPV on TV is the main course. I will still say that TNA is going down in flames this year. By the way, why is TNA going with a mystery investor? Didn't they do that before? Also, who would want TNA? So let's sit back and watch part two of Genesis PPV on TV(Impact)...

Match#1: Gunner vs. James Storm - Briefcase for a contract to get a TNA World Heavyweight Title Shot
Winner: Gunner
(I will admit that this was very interesting to watch. Seeing that one of these guys can wrestle and the other one barely can. Also it is funny that when AJ Styles left TNA, it left a hole for the guys who been in TNA since day one to go for the main event. Magnus is one of those guys and Gunner is another one. This should have been a win for Storm but I guess we are going to see a possible Magnus/Gunner feud soon. Basically this was a match of second chances and short commings. )

Match#2: Austin Aries vs. Chris Sabin - X Division Title Match Winner: Austin Aries - New Champion
(I do love this division of TNA. I feel like they got rid of a lot of guys just to pay off Hogan, Bischoff, and Sting. So the matches have been hit or miss throughout the last year. This feud with Aries and Sabin was ok but could have been better without Velvet Sky. She is a sexy ass woman to look at but she cannot wrestle. She is arm candy. This could have been a shitty match but thank you Velvet Sky for not bring the weapon to the ring. Aries is going to be X Division champion at least until he gets another shot or run as the main eventer/title holder. As for Sabin, well I would hate for him to job to someone who cannot wrestle. )

Match#3: Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode
Winner: Kurt Angle
(Well I will admit that this was a good match but there is one thing that I hated about this match. Why would you do something like not be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame? Kurt Angle is a good wrestler and same with Bobby Roode. I think this was a good feud and this can be a clear and concise thing for TNA. This wasn't a bullshit angle and this wasn't thrown together at the last minute. I just hope we get to see these men in the main event for a title soon. )

Match#: Samoa Joe vs. Rockstar Spud.
Winner: Samoa Joe
(This was sad to watch. This was like watching Rey Mysterio vs. Brock Lesnar. This was just a jobber killing match. Samoa Joe basically took out the little man in TNA. My god at one point, I was praying for the match to be called. Samoa Joe is a submission machine. I know if I was in the ring with him, I would take the lost in style and fighting. Spud did fight a bit but it was like watching an ant fight an anteater. This was actually good enough to be the match before the main event.  )

Main Event: Magnus vs. Sting - World Heavyweight Title vs. Sting's TNA Contract
Winner: Magnus
(This was a copy and paste match. Just add Sting and his contract. This was like watching Magnus vs. AJ Styles a couple weeks ago. So TNA cannot book a main event without all the heels coming to save Magnus from losing? Also why is it so hard for people to let go of Sting? He was the shit in WCW, he could have went to WWE but came to TNA. By him losing, that means Bully Ray could be next to go. After that, we could have mostly TNA originals in the company doing things for the company. Also please bear in mind that I don't hate Sting but feel he is a lot like Hogan. At least Hogan isn't trying to wrestle anymore. This was a cut and dry match. )

Final Thoughts: Well we found out that starting next week, TNA is overseas in England. So we got maybe two or three weeks of shows in Magnus' home country. That's good in a way because Canada and England are bizzaro land when it comes to wrestling. As for this show, like I said, this was the actual PPV on TV. I knew watching the main event was like watching the same thing from weeks ago. One thing about the internet and wrestling is that when guys leave a company we know about it before the show. So AJ Styles is in Ring of Honor. There are rumors that Sting will make an appearance in WWE. Hogan is going to make an appearance at Wrestlemania 30. So the question is why is TNA still in business? We will see what TNA can do before going down. WCW did the same thing prior to being sold to WWE. Why do you think we got the epic showdown with Shane and Vince McMahon? Will we see Vince take out TNA or someone else? Until then, we can enjoy the ride. See you all for WWE Smackdown...

WWE Raw Review 1/20/14

Note: I will admit that it is hard to keep up with WWE and TNA PPVs. Actually, TNA have PPVs on TV so that's not hard but WWE PPVs are hard to keep track of. So as I was on the internet, someone had the nerve to assume that Royal Rumble was this past Sunday. It wasn't. So as I get ready to watch WWE Raw, I am thinking about what WWE can do to make me by this PPV. So let's hope WWE don't screw the pooch with this show. Here's WWE Raw...

Match#1: The Shield vs. Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Big E. Langston
Winners: The Shield
(This was the best opening of WWE Raw. You had basically all the mid card titles in one ring. I find it odd that Big E. has defended the IC title but Seth hasn't defended that title in months. Also it was odd to hear that all the mid card title holders will be in the Royal Rumble match. Even though Cody and Goldust will defend the titles in the pre show, they will be in the main event itself. As for this match, this had everything and more. What's sad is that this had the makings for a cool feud. Especially with the fact that since the main event titles merged, the IC and US titles could merge. Goldust is still good at what he does. I am so happy to see something good to start the show. )

Match#2: Fandango vs. Xavier Woods
Winner: Fandango
(This match was so fucking quick that I barely had time to change the channel. I actually wasn't going to change channels but when I saw the end, I was like damn. So you jobbed Xavier Woods that quick? Also you going to give Fandango a second chance at a mid card title? Moving on...)

Match#3: CM Punk vs. Billy Gunn
Winner: CM Punk
(Old school and new school was in this match. This was more so a dream match for me. I think Billy Gunn is a better singles wrestle than a tag team wrestler. Billy Gunn could have been IC champion years ago. He isn't back to be in the main event, he's back because he is also a trainer in WWE. CM Punk did get schooled by both Gunn and Road Dogg. This was like if these guys came back in time to help the tag team division and also remind people they aren't suppose to be liked. Regardless of the storyline for CM Punk right now, New Age Outlaws are still the best team of the attitude era. )

Match#4: Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
(The only reason why I watch this match was to see Batista come out and take out ADR. Other than that this was five minutes too long and thank god we got to see a better confrontation than the actual match. Moving on...)

Match#5: AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka vs. Cameron and Naomi
Winners: Cameron and Naomi
(Botchamania should have seen the botches this match had. This just proves that Cameron and Naomi aren't wrestlers. I felt sorry for AJ Lee and Tamina who actually train and can do some good moves. By the way, I love that AJ Lee is the all time divas champion for amount of time. I don't care how long she had that shitty title. I am old school, so I wish she had the classic women's title. Plus I am thanking god AJ Lee wasn't in the divas reality show. She is a wrestler not an attention whore. This match sucked... )

Match#6: The Usos vs. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
Winners: The Usos
(This is just an instant classic. Why? Because both teams haven't put on a bad match but there have been some goofs in the match. This was another match where I watched for the run in rather than the match. Even though this was a good match but seeing Daniel Bryan take out Bray Wyatt was better. Time for the main event....)

Main Event: Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston
Winner: No Contest

After The Main Event: John Cena and Randy Orton confront each other.
(Yawn! Same shit, different decade. I know the match was suppose to be Kofi and RKO but we all know that either RKO would have killed Kofi or RKO would have caused a DQ finish. So the main focus was Cena and RKO. That's why I yawned. Basically we got the same shit from these men. So with that said, let's wrap this up...)

Final Thoughts: I am of the theory that a wrestling show has to be consistant from beginning to end. I am from the old school of having a good show from start to end. This was a so so show with an ending that made me think I went back to 2004 or later. I think WWE is truly scared to let guys like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, or anyone else be the main event of WWE. Basically, this show reminded us that what was good in 2004 is good again. I love seeing Big Show and Brock Lesnar but realistically this would be better if this was given a fresh start. ADR and Batista is a fresh start but this reminds me of how he was with Eddie Guerrero. I think WWE is rehashing their old stars assuming that the kids don't know who they are. I will admit seeing Batista and Brock Lesnar was good but we are about to enter this time of year wear guys who are part time shine and the others get fucked over. With the WWE network coming before Wrestlemania, I feel it is time to get as much Youtube views of the past as I can. See you all for Part Two of TNA Genesis PPV on TV.

WWE Smackdown Review 1/17/14

Note: Well it is Friday, it is time for WWE Smackdown. As I get ready for this episode, I wonder if WWE is trying to get people excited for Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania XXX or if they expect people to waste money on bad shows and PPVs. As this show starts, I do like that we will be seeing more of New Age Outlaws and we are getting more tag team matches. However, the main event and title is still skewed to me. So let's start watching and reviewing WWE Smackdown...

Match#1: New Age Outlaws vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust - Non Title Match
Winners: New Age Outlaws
(I lived through the attitude era and ruthless aggression era of WWE. So seeing New Age Outlaws is a good thing for the tag team division but also bad in the long run. I say the latter because WWE keeps proving that they don't have much trust in their young talent. Example of that would be having New Age Outlaws being #1 Contenders but overlooking The Usos, The Shield or even bring up a tag team from NXT. I love seeing Cody Rhodes and Goldust as champions but my dream of seeing them possibly having a Wrestlemania match is best for business. Until then this will work. As for the match, it was good. I think it was pointless to have Vickie Guererro interrupt. Moving on...)

Match#2: Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Rey Mysterio
(I had to change channels from this. I know this is setting up Alberto Del Rio and Batista but then again, Alberto Del Rio is not a big enough name to face Batista. I think ADR is overrated in my opinion. This match does little to make ADR look good and is making Batista look like he will kill ADR. )

Match#3: Naomi vs. Tamina Snuka
Winner: Naomi
(I was happy to see AJ Lee but this match was shitty. Tamina is a good wrestler. So it wasn't her that made this match shit. Naomi is not in the caliber as Lita, AJ Lee or even Trish Stratus. I find it fucked up that they had a good wrestler in Karma but rather keep women like Naomi. I have said that WWE is scared to have real women wrestle because that think we want models. Kaitlyn was a lot like Trish Stratus. Both were models and both were champions. Both were able to make the women's division interesting and both left happy. I mention this because rather to focus on the division, they want to make the Divas into reality TV stars. That's bullshit in my opinion. )

Match#4: Fandango vs. Big E Langston
Winner: Big E. Langston
(Have anyone seen a nature show when the lions attack the gazelles? That was what I got out of this match. Big E Langston is a main eventer. He will be champion soon. Fandango is about to be a jobber with a gimmick. Moving on...)

Match#5: The Usos vs. Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro
Winner: The Usos
(I am not a fan of repetition. I think as a kid, watching WWE was a world of repetition. You don't know how many times I saw Hogan fight the same jobbers or see Savage and Steamboat outdo each other. Back then, it was ok to see it because it wasn't on all the time. Now, we have saw this match over and over but the results change. I like The Usos but this is a waste for them. As for Real Americans, well it is time to end this gimmick because this is offensive. )

Main Event: CM Punk vs. The Shield, New Age Outlaws and Kane
Winners: The Shield, New Age Outlaws and Kane
(This was not a real match but I wrote up like this because it was easier. Also, just to put it in perspective, this was funny to see. So we all know that Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and associates like Kane and HBK make up the Authority. Now we got New Age Outlaws being added to the mix. I did not leave out The Shield but that's because most people know they are. I love CM Punk and think this is going to get him back into the main event. Also it was cool to see Kane be active again. This wasn't a match but more so a way to make the storyline with CM Punk and The Authority more interesting. This actually was a good ending for the show because it sets up something for WWE Raw. Time to end this review... )

Final Thoughts: Ususally, I would say that the ending saved the show. When I say that, I am right about 80% of the time. This is one of those times. Seeing The Shield and New Age Outlaws bridges the gap in great tag teams from past and present. Seeing Kane haven't lost his touch was cool as well. I think I am right in saying that Smackdown needs to be on a different cable channel. I feel like if WWE is so determined to have a network of their past and present programming, they can afford to change Smackdown to USA or even ION. The ending save this show. I also think when the WWE network debuts next month people need to think about if this is worth it. See you all for WWE Raw.

TNA Genesis Impact Review 1/16/14

Note: Well it is time for TNA to shine. This PPV on TV concept is mind boggling because it basically makes the shows look either too good to be on TV or worse than a regular episode of Impact. I am not a fan of basically having a PPV on TV. This also goes for the extra PPVs that TNA put out. TNA needs to try to be better not worse. Also, I saw a pic of a TNA house show in a gym this past weekend. There had to be like maybe 200 or 300 people in the place. What the fuck? Here's TNA Impact/Genesis PPV on TV.

Match#1: Daniels, Kaz, Zema Ion, Bromans and Lei'd Tapa vs. Samoa Joe, James Storm, Gunner, Eric Young, Joseph Parks and ODB
Winners: Samoa Joe, James Storm, Gunner, Eric Young, Joseph Parks and ODB
(Well I will not use the word that came to mind when this was setup. I will admit that without the opening segment, it would be hard to follow the ideal for this match. I will repeat that I watch wrestling for the action not the talking. If you follow Botchamania, you know the segment People Talk Too Much, then you know the opening of this laster almost 30 minutes with commercials. So basically this was how they got some people in the PPV on TV. No tag team titles were on the line. This wasn't a good match but the ending was cool. Also with all these people fighting in and outside the ring, this should have been a no DQ match. Also this was interesting to see the women get involved with the men. WWE haven't done too many matches like that. I love Samoa Joe because he was the reason why I watch this all the way through. Moving on...)

Match#2: Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson
Winner: Bully Ray
(This match was build up after the end of the Aces and Eights. So Bully Ray got rid of Brooke T. So Bully Ray is acting like he is emo. So Bully Ray is threatening to burn people and kill wives and kids. Then Mr. Anderson comes off as the hero and the savior of TNA for getting rid of Aces and Eights. This was build up to a good match. Was it good? Hell no! This was like watching a good action movie but the ending was flat. I also will admit that once Bully Ray won, I changed channels. Moving on...)

Match#3: Gail Kim vs. Madison Rayne - KO Title Match
Winner: Madison Rayne
(I am going to cry. I am going to be pissed off. What the fuck TNA?!?!?!?!?!? Gail Kim was good as champion. She was the best heel for females. Also what is the logic in giving the title to Madison Rayne? I did have a feeling that all the heels that sided with Dixie would lose something in the long run. I did not want to see Gail Kim lose her title. If she was going to lose her title, let it be to Lei'd Tapa. At least that storyline is an oldie but a goodie. I am not a fan of Madison Rayne as a wrestler. However I will admit that she can do a good job working the mic. )

Main Event: Sting vs. Ethan Carter III
Special Guest Referee: Rockstar Spud
Winner: Ethan Carter III
(I have seen some dumb matches in the 30 years I have watched wrestling. I remember a lot of the jobber matches in the early and mid 1980s. This was possibly the dumbest match ever. So you mean to tell me that it took a two men to screw Sting? Also would someone explain to me what was the purpose of this match? We all know that EC3 is not going to lose right now. Also would someone please explain to me how fast Rockstar Spud counted to three. My god that was a fast three count. Time to end this review. )

Final Thoughts: As I watch this show, I wanted to see if TNA could do something cool with this PPV on TV concept. Like I said, I feel that TNA is trying too hard with their PPV on TV concept. This is also the first time I have ever seen a PPV on TV split in two shows. So you mean to tell me that we got the best or is next week the best? One thing that I think is funny is that unlike WWE with The Authority, we got Dixie Carter and her bitch fits and getting all the heels to do her dirty work. I don't know why people think she is attractive, she isn't. Stephanie McMahon is an attractive woman that is actually smart and can get physical. So I will move on and go to bed. See you all for WWE Smackdown - The Fall Out From WWE Raw.

WWE Raw Review 1/13/14

Note: Well it is fitting that we start the week of wrestling with WWE Raw. I think after last week's WWE Raw that we are not going to get another awesome and epic show. Most of the luster from WWE occured last week. With WWE having a network starting next month, these reviews might be different. Also I feel that WWE could finally become more edgier but you have to pay to see it. For now, let's hope I am wrong with seeing WWE Raw this week. Here's WWE Raw...

Match#1: The Usos vs. Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan
Winners: The Usos by DQ.
(I was happy to see this match but was upset with the ending. I was happy to see that Daniel Bryan was trying to become a member of The Wyatt Family. I was also happy to see that Bray Wyatt try to make his family stronger. I just was upset that Harper and Rowan got involved. Hopefully we will see this match again. )

Match#2: Damien Sandow vs. John Cena
Winner: John Cena
(Damn, this was so 2013. This was so much a pointless match. Also a pointless way to make Cena look good before the PPV. Also Damien Sandown was really trying to beat him. My god, Cena does kick out at two. Moving on...)

Match#3: Big Show vs. Jack Swagger
Winner: Big Show
(I changed the channel because this was like watching a lion take down a fast gazelle. Big Show is going to face Brock Lesnar. Remember 2004 when they broke the ring. Old school matches does make for new school theories. Moving on...)

Match#4: The Shield vs. CM Punk and New Age Outlaws
Winners: The Shield
(This was a good match. The Shield and CM Punk doesn't put on bad matches. This storyline has been interesting but at the same time putting CM Punk out of the title hunt. The fact that the New Age Outlaws were added in this was great for old school fans. So here is what confused me in this match - why did New Age Outlaws leave CM Punk in the lurch? Simple, DX is under the Authority. Simple as can be...)

Match#5: Naomi and Cameron vs. AJ Lee and Tamina
Winners: AJ Lee and Tamina
(I really think it is fitting that the real woman in this match was the ones that can wrestle. I really think it is sad that AJ Lee is basically second fiddle to all the models in WWE. So what the fuck is wrong with having a champion be on the reality show? Simple, AJ Lee is a real woman and doesn't need or want people in her life. Also Tamina is a real wrestler but is relegated to being the heavy to AJ Lee and the title. I don't care much for Cameron and Naomi because they represent WWE's attempt to erase their Divas division. )

Match#6: Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston
Winner: Kofi Kingston
(This match is basically a what the fuck is going on match. So you mean to tell me that because RKO was pissed with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon that he could not beat the Cena mid carder. This was so bad that I cannot even pseak about it. Moving on...)

Match#7: Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel
Winners: Cody Rhodes and Goldust
(This was a textbook match to watch for all tag teams. This was basically a good match with a good ending. I actually don't have much to say because I loved this match so much that I just wished to see more good matches. Moving on...)

Match#8: Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
(I will admit that I changed channels so fucking quick because if I saw Sin Cara vs. ADR too many times, then why would I see this over and over again. Moving on to the main event rematch...)

Main Event: The Usos vs. Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan
Winners: The Usos
(The Usos are a good tag team. So before I dig into this match, let that be said now. These guys might not have had the titles yet but these guys can make the tag teams in WWE look good. I wish they have more matches that ended better than this. Now I got that out the way, let's talk about the what occured after this match. So what was the purpose to have Daniel Bryan give into Bray Wyatt? I was shocked to see Daniel Bryan become a slave to Bray Wyatt. However, the swerve in this was like a backwards 180. So basically, this whole experiment was a failure? I will say so because people still cheered for Daniel Bryan. Time to end this review. )

Final Thoughts: I am not an expert in wrestling storylines but I am an expert in being a real fan of wrestling. So you mean to tell me that Daniel Bryan wasn't fully a member of The Wyatt Family and realized that he was just setting up Bray Wyatt to get him? I am so lost in this mad change in the storyline. Basically, this was like a waste of time and will change what's to come with The Wyatt Family. Also CM Punk was put in a silly team with New Age Outlaws just to see them side with Triple H and The Authority. Wow, I don't care if people agree but like I said before, WWE is burying CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Why? Simply because WWE want John Cena, Randy Orton, and the best of the best from 2002 on back to cover for the kids. I mean Batista and Brock Lesnar prove that WWE cannot use CM Punk and Daniel Bryan because Vince and his fetish of bigger men takes away from the future. So I will move on and see you all for TNA Impact. PPV on TV time...

WWE Smackdown Review 1/10/14

Note: Well it is interesting to end this week of wrestling with WWE Smackdown. WWE has basically changed the way they want people to watch their product. The beginning of the week, we got the best fucking WWE Raw show for 2014. We also got the best matches for the Royal Rumble PPV. I won't mention what TNA did because it will kill the mood. WWE might be trying to get the fans into a new way of loving wrestling again. Also, it should be said that the only reason why I am watching WWE Smackdown is because of the main event. By the way, it is sad that I had to watch Kaitlyn's last WWE match via the internet. So let's watch WWE Smackdown to see if we end on a high note.

Match#1: The Usos vs. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
Winner: Double Countout
(I was going to bitch about this match but this was setting up the match for WWE Raw. As it was, it was not bad but it wasn't good either. Also seeing the editing in this match was shitty. This is why I think Smackdown can be live. I was just stunned seeing Daniel Bryan acting like he belongs with The Wyatt Family. Moving on...)

Match#2: Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio and Los Matadores vs. Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Ryback and Curtis Axel
Winners: Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio and Los Matadores
(I am just going to say this match was bound to happen. This screams clusterfuck. I will move on because this is just a clusterfuck of mid carders. )

Match#3: Randy Orton vs. Big E Langston
Winner: Randy Orton
(This was a very good match. One thing: Why is the champion of champions doing in the middle of the show? Moving on...)

Match#4: Xavier Woods vs. Fandango
Winner: Xavier Woods
(I will admit this was a good match. That's all I will say because I really think Xavier Woods is a joke and Fandango is basically a shitty gimmick. )

Main Event: The Shield vs. The New Age Outlaws and CM Punk
Winners: The Shield
(This was the best fucking match on Smackdown so far in 2014. I would have wanted to see the faces win but seeing Billy Gunn go for Fame-Ass-Er was epic. Also seeing Roman Reigns spear the fuck out of Billy Gunn was cool. Basically this was like old school vs. new school. Add in CM Punk and it was instant magic. By the way, the fact that this was the main event proves that WWE buried Daniel Bryan and gave CM Punk a pass. So this was a true WWE mark's wet dream. This was something new and fresh. )

Final Thoughts: Well this just proves that WWE can put on a good Smackdown show. The ending was the best part because we got something that we haven't seen in years. Plus we got to see The Shield prove they are the team to beat. We also learned that WWE is burying Daniel Bryan with The Wyatt Family. I will admit that most of the matches were not the best but the ending save this show. Especially since we got to see The New Age Outlaws on Smackdown and we got to see what could be setup for WWE Raw. So see you all for WWE Raw.

TNA Impact Review 1/9/14

Note: Well it is time for TNA to shine. WWE start the official new year with the best show they could possibly do. So as we get ready for the best of what TNA can do please bear in mind that TNA could sink or swim this year. No Jeff Jarrett? No AJ Styles after this show tonight? Dixie is running things like Stephanie McMahon is in WWE. The title match is a copy of CM Punk and John Cena in WWE. Basically this is going to make or break TNA tonight. If this doesn't then next week's PPV on TV will. Here's TNA Impact...

Match#1: Joseph Park and Eric Young vs. BroMans (Robbie E. and Jesse Godderz)
Winners: BroMans
(I always try to think of why WWE makes bad opening matches but I need to wonder what the fuck was this shit. First of all, I am not a fan of BroMans as tag champs. Also I don't know why we are seeing Joseph Park when we should be seeing Abyss. EY is basically a non existant player. This wasn't pointless because BroMans supposedly took out Jospeh Park by orders of Dixie Carter. Moving on...)

Match#2: Samoa Joe vs. Ethan Carter III
Winner: No Contest
(Before this match started, EC III tried to beat up Samoa Joe in the back. That was the dumbest thing to do for EC III. This was actually a good match but the ending sucked. Also why would EC III and Rockstar Spud be dumb to take out Samoa Joe's knee? If this ended right, Joe would have gave EC III his first lost but we got to see more carnage in the name of Dixie Carter. )

Match#3: Kurt Angle vs. Kaz and Daniels - Steel Cage Challenge
Winner: Kurt Angle
(This was looking to be a clusterfuck but was saved when Angle won the match. Before the match started, I was hoping to see Angle and Roode fight before next week but that's when we got a 2 on 1 handicap cage match. Also TNA does have a way of changing matches or stipulations on the fly. I will admit that this was a good match but the weird part was seeing Angle win. )

Match#4: Bobby Roode vs. Sting - Steel Cage Match
Winner: Bobby Roode
(I laughed when this was announced. Bobby Roode would have lost this match if it wasn't for EC III and Rockstar Spud. TNA does have an unique way to change or fuck up a good cage match. I loved the fact that most of this match was in favor of Roode before the cheating. Actually, this could have been the match of the night but the ending fucked that up. Plus I was hoping to see Sting get beat but that wasn't the case. Time to end this shitty show. )

Main Event: Magnus vs. AJ Styles - No DQ/Undisputed TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Winner: Magnus
(I use the word clusterfuck when something is so shitty that it is just a cluster of dumb shit. This match was the definition of the word and more. So this match is a no disqualification match, that's good. So explain to me why the entire heel faction of TNA came out to help Magnus? I mean it was like evil taking over the kingdom. AJ Styles only had one friend, Sting. All the others would be taken out or told to leave. This match was going to be a great match but this was basically a big fuck you to AJ Styles. Since AJ Styles is not a part of TNA after this show, then it was fitting to see how they fucked up the ending. Time to end this review.  )

Final Thoughts: What did I just watch? What did I just waste two hours on? So Dixie Carter is basically doing a Vince McMahon? Dixie Carter is not a wrestling promoter. She is not a sexy woman. She barely can act. What I just saw was grade A bullshit. This was like watching a bitch exact her vengeance on everyone else. We also got to see an old WWE storyline with AJ Styles and Magnus replacing CM Punk and John Cena. By the way, unlike more people, I feel that AJ Styles is not in TNA and is not going to be in TNA anytime soon. We all know that Jeff Hardy is not going to be on TNA until after the TV tapings in Engaland. So basically we saw nothing but payback and also some creepy and weird segments. Also just want people to know that Bully Ray as this dark role isn't going to keep me watching TNA. So see you all for WWE Smackdown. At least the main event there is better than this one.

WWE Raw Review - Old School Raw 1/6/14

Note: Well this is a day I waited for since it was announced last week. WWE's futile attempt to bring back the older fans with old school Raw. Well seeing this is a PG era show, there will never be a real old school show from WWE. There won't be any bra/panties match, no Godfather and the Ho Train, and damn sure no Hardcore Title match. The only thing that will be old school will be the graphics and the guest spots. So let's dig into this sad attempt of a show. Here's WWE Raw - Old School 2014...

Match#1: The Usos and Rey Mysterio vs. The Wyatt Family
Winners: The Usos and Rey Mysterio
(This was a weird way to start the show. So I don't mind seeing The Usos start the show but with Rey Mysterio was not right. Also when the Wyatt Family came out, Daniel Bryan looks out of place. Basically, Daniel Bryan looks like a vegan version of Michael Myers or Jason. So you would think that with Daniel Bryan that the team would win. They didn't win. Why? Simple, the other guys don't want him there and Daniel Bryan wants to be a monster. Confusing but the ending made up for it. So I guess this was a good thing I guess. Moving on...)

Match#2: Big E. Langston vs. Curtis Axel
Winner: Big E. Langston
(So how many times we will see this either for the title or non title? Well I am not one to harp on the past but this is getting redundant. I mean unless Curtis Axel gets help from Ryback who was at the commentating table, he isn't getting the title back. Also it is sad to watch Big E. beat him over and over again. Moving on...)

Match#3: Sin Cara vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
(Unlike the above match, this match was done all last year and we need to stop it this year. This was a pointless match. By the way, Alberto Del Rio calls out Batista and claims he will eliminate Batista at the Royal Rumble. I will speak on that when Royal Rumble happens. )

Match#4: The Real Americans vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust
Winners: Cody Rhodes and Goldust
(I cannot put words on this match. This was the best tag team match in a long while. The Rhodes Brothers are just that damn good in this match. Especially with this being an old school show, Goldust shined. This was like watching Goldie in his IC title reign. Cody isn't a weak link but he does show that I am right. He will be the main eventer that his dad was. Even Cesaro and Swagger was good this time. I hope this was not a fluke because if this happens again, the next match will suck. Moving on...)

Match#5: Damien Sandow vs. The Great Khali - WWE App Match
Special Guest Referee: Sgt. Slaughter
Winner: The Great Khali
(I will be honest with you all, this was poinless in my opinion. So Khali gets screwed and now Sandow gets screwed. Also who cares that Khali got his buddy back. I cannot spell his name but he is or was the reason we got shitty shows in 2013. Moving on...)

Match#6: The Bella Twins vs. Aksana and Alicia Fox
Winners: Aksana and Alicia Fox
(So I will admit that I was happy to see the lesser known divas get a win over the bitches of the WWE. Aksana haven't been on a streak in years. Seeing Alicia Fox did make me see she is a tall woman. Also it is funny to say that there are more black women in WWE. Good match because The Bella Bitches lost. )

Match#7: 3MB vs. Too Cool
Winners: Too Cool
(I totally marked out seeing Too Cool. All three members of Too Cool was reunited. This was more so a statment because we all know 3MB is doomed. We got to see the worm and Rikishi smash someone. I think all of us that saw this was reverted back to 1999 or later. Even though Jerry Lawler wasn't at ring side but I know he was proud to see his son come back to WWE. Time for the ending. )

Main Event: CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns
Winner: Roman Reigns
(This was the best match of the night aside from the tag team match. This does prove that Roman Reigns is ready for the main event. He is related to The Rock, so he is ready for the main event. Roman Reigns did everything outside of throwing a chair at CM Punk. This was so good that I could see this match again for the WWE title or the #1 contender for the title. Roman Reign is not a mid carder. And I believe if this match happens again, that we will see a better match with no interference. What was the spot of the night was after the match. CM Punk GTS Dean Ambrose and The New Age Outlaws who was in CM Punk's corner took out the other guys. Then Jake Roberts comes out looking healthy and with a new Damien. Dean Ambrose got snaked. Also Deam Ambrose will have many memes because he was smiling while laid out with a snake licking him. Epic moment and the best fucking ending of 2014, so far. Time to wrap up the review...)

Final Thoughts: Well this was a very different old school show. We got to see Ric Flair, Ted DiBiase, IRS and a lot more. This wasn't like most shows where we get to see old stars but they don't do much. This was a welcome change. I know most people were happy to see guys like Jake Roberts, Too Cool, and even Roddy Piper. I came into this show wanting to bitch and moan about the shit WWE was going to pull and I think most of the show was what the fans wanted to see. Even though WWE announced a big press conference on Wednesday. We all know that the network that WWE will finally have. So time to go to bed and hope this week's TNA show is better than nothing at all. See you all for TNA Impact...

WWE Smackdown Review 1/3/14

Note: Well this is suppose to be the first show from WWE of 2014 but this was taped before the last WWE Raw of 2013. So technically, WWE Raw on Monday will be the first official show from WWE. One of my biggest dreams of 2014 when it comes to WWE and Smackdown is to either get a new channel or do something more original to be a different show. I know I am asking a lot to change stations because to me, Syfy isn't a wrestling station. Even people who watch Syfy ask why is WWE putting a show on this channel. Put it on USA or any other NBC/Universal channel. Or give this show to ION so we can see a WWE TV show on regular TV. So anyways, this is going to be an interesting show because we won't see Daniel Bryan come out with the Wyatt Family or see Cena/Orton. So let's get WWE Smackdown started and over with...

Match#1: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. The Usos
Winners: The Usos by DQ
(This was a good match until Dean Ambrose got involved. However, this will set up the main event of the night. What's funny is that even before this match got started, I knew this was going to be pointless but to set up the end. Also what upset me is that we get teased a break up from The Shield but we have to wait a while longer to see them implode. This was still a good match. The Usos are only getting this push because one of them is dating a girl from the Divas show. Moving on...)

Match#2: R-Truth vs. Fandango
Winner: R-Truth
(This was boring. I actually changed to see a college bowl game. Also will someone please to me Xavier Woods? Is he suppose to be the new dancing fool in WWE. Is this why Brodus turn heel and thinks he is a main event player? Moving on...)

Match#3: Goldust and Cody Rhodes vs. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
Winners: Goldust and Cody Rhodes
(This had no Bray Wyatt and no Daniel Bryan. This was the best match of the night. This was both great and should be a template to show what WWE Tag Teams can be in 2014. I watch this all the way through. I will admit that seeing Goldust is back to how he was back in the day. Cody was on fire. Even Rowan and Harper showed that without Bray Wyatt, they can actually be seen as a team. Good match and should be a possibility for match of the year candidate. )

Match#4: Nikki Bella vs. Aksana
Winner: Nikki Bella
(I changed channels because seeing her or her sister makes me change channels. These bitches are the reason why the title is irrelevant. AJ Lee is basically doing a CM Punk with her title but is overshadowed by a reality TV show with these women who cannot wrestle and cannot act fake. Moving on...)

Match#5: Big E. Langston vs. Curtis Axel
Winner: Big E. Langston
(I have seen this match over and over last year. We know how this will end. So time to end the show with The Best In The World.....)

Main Event: CM Punk and The Usos vs. The Shield
Winners: CM Punk and The Usos
(I am not going to nitpick this match because it was a good match and also because it does setup something for the PPV. CM Punk is going to be busy with The Shield hopefully until Royal Rumble. I will just say this was one of their better matches. Time to end the review. )

Final Thoughts: Basically this show was taped before WWE Raw came on. So to be honest, it was very rushed to me. Especially while watching the main event you can tell what they had to add to the show. I wish I could say this was a good show but this was not the official show for 2014. This week should be a better week for both TNA and WWE just remember that 2014 has to be better than 2013 or we might see more SSDD from WWE and TNA. See you all for WWE Raw.

TNA Impact Review 1/2/14

Note: Well Happy New Year! I know I am officially a day late but so what. I am happy this is a new year. So that mean we can get a serious refresh on both TNA and WWE programing. So as we start the new year with TNA, that's easier said than done. We do have a new champion. I can actually be happy about that because this isn't like WWE rehashing old stars to be champions. TNA used an original star to be champion. I guess the rest is up to TNA to make sure people watch throughout 2014. So let's watch TNA Impact and see the new things in 2014. Here's TNA Impact...

Match#1: Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim
Winner: Madison Rayne
(Well this was a good way to kick off the show. Especially since my crush was in this match. I love this version of Gail Kim and hope to see this Gail Kim throughout 2014. Even though Gail Kim and AJ Lee are basically doing the same thing with their Samoan bodyguards and their attitudes. I am not a fan of Madison Rayne. However, she is making me see that she can wrestle. I will not hold my breathe on that.)

Match#2: Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries - X Division Title Match
Winner: Chris Sabin - New Champion
(All throughout 2013, I have bitched and moaned about seeing more X Division Matches in TNA. I was happy to see what was the current format of the X Division matches with it being a three way dance. However, that was banished. So seeing this match was very good for me. Especially since these guys can wrestle and can make a match interesting. This was an interesting and worthy match for the title. However, the ending sucked. I will let this slide because when we get good matches, we will get a shitty one to balance things out. Moving on. )

Match#3: Samuel Shaw vs. Norv Fernum
Winner: Samuel Shaw
(This was so quick that I don't know or care to speak on this match. Plus this was so much a sqaush match. Moving on...)

Match#4: Bobby Roode and James Storm vs. Kurt Angle and Gunner
Winners: Bobby Roode and James Storm
(Well this was both a good match and a shitty ending. I will admit that I loved seeing Roode and Storm being in a tag team again. I was marking out because I loved Beer Money until they broke up. So this was a happy moment for me. As for Gunner and Angle, well I cannot wait to see Gunner get his title shot in 2014. Angle is just being Angle. He is a legend now. He should be at the end of his career. This match was epic and very good to see especially for the new year. I will admit that both teams were good together and the ending was sweet. However, the shitty ending was after the match with Angle trying to beat up Roode. I guess I looked at this wrong because it looked bad to me. Moving on...)

Match#5: Joseph Park vs. Bully Ray
Winner: Joseph Park by DQ
(So will someone explain to me the purpose of this match? Why are we still getting Joseph Park? Until now, I was very happy seeing good things on TNA. This was not good. No Abyss and Bully Ray is now a pyromaniac? So Bully Ray won't retire but he is sulking like a baby because Mr. Anderson killed his faction. Anderson comes out to save Joseph Park. Well let's end the show because this was just dumb. )

Main Event - The Coronation of Magnus:  EC3 and Rockstar Spud came to the ring first. The two cut promos. EC3 reminds everyone that he is still undefeated. EC3 then introduces Dixie Carter. Dixie Carter then tells a story about a UK magazine covering AJ Styles. She then brings out Magnus. Magnus then cuts a promo but Gunner interrupts. He lays out Spud and EC3. He then goes after Magnus but everyone jumps him. AJ Styles then enters through the crowd with his TNA title. He lays out EC3 and Spud and stares down Magnus. Both pose with their belts. Dixie tells Magnus to get out. AJ then takes a mic. AJ tells Dixie to tell her lawyers to quit chasing him all over the world. He says Magnus isn't the champion until he beats  “the” world heavyweight champion.  Magnus asks if he is challenging him. AJ says he didn’t come out here to play “tickle butt.” He said two belts but there can only be one TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He asks if Magnus is going to listen to this “money mark.” A match is then made between the two.  The two of them posed and stared each other down from the ramp and the ring.

Final Thoughts: I decided to end this review instead of commenting on the coronation of Magnus as TNA Heavyweight Champion. I am determined to see that 2014 is the year we get good wrestling not bullshit. Tonight's show wasn't bullshit. It had parts that were bullshit. However, this was good for a TNA show. Especially with AJ Styles coming back to finally defend his TNA Heavyweight Title versus Magnus. We have seen this in WWE with CM Punk and John Cena. However, we all know how that ended. This will be different if you follow the news of wrestling. That made this show good. The matches were good until the last match but we will see more sulking from Bully Ray next week. We will also see a PPV on TV with Genesis in two weeks. So good night and see you all for WWE Smackdown.
