Gene The Grappler's Last Blog of 2013

Dear Fans of Gene The Grappler,

Well it is the end of 2013, and the beginning of 2014. Gene The Grappler start exactly two years ago and at first it was my way to vent some of my issues with WWE and TNA programming. I know I wanted to expand to ROH and other local independant wrestling promotions. To be honest, I might because of what I am seeing from TNA and WWE. I have been a fan of wrestling for over 30 years. As the times fly with life, wrestling has been a constant in my life. I use the term wrestling because sports entertainment is a general term. All sports players are also entertainers. So the term is redundant. LeBron James is a sports entertainer. Miguel Cabrera is a sports entertainer. Even Aaron Rodgers is a sports entertainer. So like I have said many times, I like wrestling.

I have been a fan of WWE/WCW/ECW/TNA and other promotions for years. For the exception of ROH and MMA, I am not a true fan but I know enough to watch and teach others about what's going on and the past. I said that I will try to speak on ROH because as of now, that's the better promotion for wrestling. All the guys we know in both WWE and TNA came from there. Also I will try to speak on MMA but not in the same manner as wrestling. I have said many times that I watch wrestling for the action. I did not watch WWE back in the day for the talking. I watched to see guys like Hogan, Savage, JYD, and others do moves that I could not do in my wildest dreams. Same with seeing Flair and the Four Horsemen, RVD, Sabu, and others. Wrestling is just like watching American Football, Baseball, or even Basketball.

As we enter into 2014, I want to start doing more for one of the things I love to watch. Gene The Grappler will be doing more blogs and even vlogs. Also I will attempt to be at most live events from WWE/TNA/ROH/Other Indys that come to my hometown of Detroit, MI or even Toledo, OH. I know I will do my best because I want Gene The Grappler to be just as successful as NODQ, Wrestling Roundtable, and even Ring Side News. So Happy New Year to you all and let's have fun with 2014.

WWE Raw Review 12/30/13

Note: Well this is the officially the last WWE show of 2013. I neglected to mention or notice that fact when talking about the past week's Smackdown or Impact. As we prepare for 2014, it should be said that both WWE and TNA needs to step up because the fans can either move to something else or watch UFC and MMA. So it's time to see what WWE can do to make the end of 2013 interesting to all of us, here's the last WWE Raw of 2013...

Match#1: CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins
Winner: CM Punk
(I will say that as good as this match was and the other match with Dean Ambrose, this also makes me wonder why is WWE making CM Punk a mid card wrestler. He was the top dog in WWE and since people like Vince and Triple H are running things, instead of being in the title hunt, he's fighting three guys. Same as Daniel Bryan but less of a shock value. This does prove that all three members of The Shield are ready to break up and be main eventers. This was also a flashback to all their matches back in the indy circuit. I loved this match but know that the seeds are set to break up The Shield in 2014. Other than that, it is pissing me off to see this as the first match. Moving on...)

Match#2: Curtis Axel vs. Dolph Ziggler
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
(I don't know who to feel sorry for in this match. Both had titles and both were good as champ. Both were able to show off their talents. However, Dolph did something to be pushed back into the mid card. Axel lost his title and is basically a jobber with a famous name. This was a good match but hope that 2014 is the year these guys get back into the main event or the spotlight. )

Match#3: Big E. Langston vs. Fandango - IC Title Match
Winner: Big E. Langston
(I will only say that thank god Fandango did not win because if he did, I would quit watching WWE. I don't think Fandango is ready for a title push. I think he is a jobber with a gimmick. Big E. represent a small minority of African American men that held titles in the WWE. Hopefully he could become more than a mid card champion. Moving on...)

Match#4: Damien Sandown vs. Great Khali - WWE App Match
Winner: Damien Sandow
(I did not care for this match or wanted to see who would win. This was pointless. Moving on...)

Match#5: R-Truth vs. Brodus Clay
Winner: R-Truth
(This was another pointless match. So Brodus is heel? Ok but who cares that he is a heel now? Kids? I don't care. As for R-Truth and Xavier Woods, well it is nice to see Afican Americans being shown on WWE TV. Moving on....)

Match#6: Total Divas (Bella Twins, Eva Marie, Cameron and Naomi) vs. Kaitlyn, Alicia Fox, Aksana, Eva Mendes and Summer Rae
Winners: Kaitlyn, Alicia Fox, Aksana, Eva Mendes and Summer Rae
(I saw one woman I wanted to see and that was Kaitlyn. She did not do much but nice to see her on Raw not Main Event. Other than that, this was another pointless match to me. We all know that the Diva show is going to be back on in January. And with what happened at the end, it is fair to say that the focus is still on the Bella bitches. So moving on to the end. Hopefully this is not going to be SSDD from WWE.  )

Main Event - Part One: Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper
Main Event - Part Two: Daniel Bryan vs. Erick Rowan
Main Event - Part Three: Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt
Winner: Daniel Bryan
(Until the end of this match and also the events after the match, this was SSDD from WWE. Daniel Bryan was doing his thing. He was all over the place. This should be the champ and also the main event for all PPVs in 2014. However, WWE or mainly Vince and Triple H isn't happy with the indy guys being the main eventers. So what we get is this mess. Also, please not that there was no Cena or Orton in this show but will be on Smackdown this week. As for the ending, well I will save that for the end of the review. Time to end this...)

Final Thoughts: I was going to say that I was speechless about the ending of the show because WWE is going to gamble on changing a guy who was the 2013 WWE Superstar Of The Year into a heel and not to mention changing the way we are suppose to see him is both genius and fucked up. Not to mention that if this show is suppose to be PG then having a creepy family like the Wyatt Family isn't PG to me. This is the waterdown version of the Ministry back during the Attitute Era. Only thing is that Undertaker was more scary. What really pissed me off wasn't that they made Daniel Bryan join the Wyatt Family but making sure that he is not in the main event anymore. Same with CM Punk fighting The Shield. I am not a real mark of either but I want to see change. WWE is heavily trying to use their past stars rather than to make new stars. I don't have a problem with Batista, Brock Lesnar, or anyone else coming back but I just think Vince isn't able to let go of the past. In addition, with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon running things, it is just like a waterdown version of the Attitude Era without blood and sex. It is almost the end of 2013 but it makes me sad to watch this show where the ending changes the way we are suppose to watch WWE. At least TNA when to an original ideal with having Magnus being their champion. Well I think WWE is going to make me quit watching because they are going the wrong way. See you all for the first TNA Impact and the first Smackdown of 2014.

WWE 11th Annual Tribute To The Troops Review - 12/28/13

Note: This is the show that WWE does for the troops. So with that said, I am going to do this review a bit differently. I am not going to bitch about the matches but seeing if this match helped cheer the soldiers and families attended. Also I will make a full complaint at the end of this special review. Here is 11th Annual WWE Tribute To The Troops...

Match#1: Erick Rowan vs. Daniel Bryan
Winner: Daniel Bryan by DQ

Match#2: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper vs. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk
Winners: Daniel Bryan and CM Punk

Match#3: Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and John Cena vs. The Wyatt Family
Winners: John Cena, Daniel Bryan and CM
(As I watched these matches, I was getting annoyed with Vickie doing what Teddy Long use to do which is booking tag team matches. Also, unlike a normal match on Smackdown or Raw, this was kid of treated like the main event shown backwards. In fact, since this was taped before the holidays, it was shown backwards. This was made to make the kids happy to see Cena but it did make Bryan and Punk seem like the backup. )

Match#4: R-Truth vs. Fandango
Winner: R-Truth
(I will just say that if the troops liked R-Truth acting like an ass, then they loved Fandango acting like he can dance. It seems like this should have been the opening segment and match I would have loved to see during this special show. I just did not care much for this match. )

Main Event: Big Show vs. Damien Sandow
Winner: Big Show
(First of all, Big Show interrupts Jeff Dunham and Peanut doing a set. However, I like him when he is not stiffled into one act. Second, this did not feel like the last match but there was other matches that was on this show but this was cut into one hour. What's sad is that we know why WWE cant do this for a three hour show like Raw. The match was not the same as if this was for Raw or a PPV. This was more so a meh for me. Time to end this review. )

Final Thoughts: This was a show for the troops. So I cannot say this was suppose to be like a Raw show or a Smackdown show. Basically, this was more for the troops at home. All the interviews and stuff were happy endings for people. We got to see Daughtry sing a song, we saw Jeff Dunham do a comedy bit, and we got to see some watered down version of Raw. Speaking of WWE Raw, see you all for that. Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!

WWE Smackdown Review 12/27/13

Note: I was going to say that this was the end of the wrestling week but we got something special from WWE tomorrow. So this will end the week with something good or bad. Usually, we will see a good match or two on Smackdown but it will be seen again on Raw. Hopefully, we just get the continuance of a couple good storyline or angles. Here's WWE Smackdown...

Match#1: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper vs. The Usos
Winners: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
(I will admit that I did not watch this match or care much for it. I only say that because it is hard to watch a match with the Wyatt Family. Some weeks they look good and some weeks, you want to scream. Also it is hard to watch Bray Wyatt because the character gives me a sickening feeling. Moving on...)

Match#2: Antonio Cesaro vs. Cody Rhodes
Winner: Antonio Cesaro
(Watching this match reminds me why WWE does have good talent. Cody Rhodes have shown me and other fans that he can carry a match and a title. He is just as good as his brother. Cody could be a good main eventer once given the chance. As for Antonio Cesaro, well he could be the future of WWE but only if he gets a good gimmick and out of the shitty gimmick with Swagger and Zeb. This should have been the opening match for this show. )

Match#3: Prime Time Playas (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel
Winner: Prime Time Playas
(This was the last clusterfuck I wanted to see in 2013. I tried to see PTP as a real tag team but this is more like the joke of the WWE tag team division. Ryback and Curtis Axel are just jobbers united. Moving on. )

Match#4: Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler
Winner: Randy Orton
(So you mean to tell me that RKO is champion of champions but also a jobber killer? Well I guess since Cena was busy, RKO could kill Ziggler. Ziggler is where his former friend Zack Ryder was last year. Ziggler is basically a jobber with a good gimmick. Seeing that I expected him to be a great champion in WWE but he is now jobbing to RKO and others. Damn you WWE for killing another talent. )

Match#5: Daniel Bryan vs. Damien Sandow
Winner: Daniel Bryan
(Usually, I would comment on a good match like this but to be honest, this was kind of rushed and also this match basically had nothing for me to really watch it. Also I think it is fitting to see this match in the middle but I would rather see this match as a main event for a title in the near future. )

Main Event - Part One: Big E. Langston vs. Dean Ambrose
Winner: Big E. Langston

Main Event - Part Two: Roman Reigns vs. Mark Henry
Winner: Roman Reigns

Main Event - Part Three: John Cena vs. Seth Rollins
Winner: John Cena
(I decided do talk about this match like this because this was basically a six man tag match split in threes. Also it is fitting that RKO is suppose to be champion of champions but Cena is the main event of the show. Also it is fitting that this is how you get to set up the possible breakup of The Shield. Basically, this was just set up to kill time and setup the ending of the show. Time to end this review. )

Final Thoughts: I was just a bit disgusted with this show but then again, it is the holidays and it is basically what you see is what you got. I don't watch WWE like a kid because I grew up watching a different version of what is shown now. I am schooled into the art of wanting action not bullshit. Since it is the holiday, I will just move on and forward. See you all for the 11th Annual WWE Tribute To The Troops Show.

TNA Impact Review 12/26/13

Note: Well as we continue the holiday week in wrestling, it is time for TNA to try to show us what they can do make it easy to watch their show. I have said that TNA is not going to be around much longer. I also said that the way TNA is going, we might see another WWE/WCW buyout storyline. If that happens then we might see something better than nothing. Let's just watch what TNA Impact can do. Here is TNA Impact...

Match#1: James Storm vs. Gunner
Winner: Double Countout
(This was a very long stretched out match. I like this match because it is rare to see guys that want to make a good opening. This was a good opening match. I would have loved to see this match end with a winner not a double countout. This is going to be a good feud into 2014. Hopefully this feud will have some winners and losers. Moving on...)

Match#2: Joseph Park (Abyss) vs. Kaz and Daniels - Monster's Ball
Winner: Jospeh Park (Abyss)
(I want Abyss back. Why did they come up with the Joseph Park character? Unlike WWE with turning Kane into a corporate character, Abyss does not need to be a normal man. Abyss is an original founder of TNA. So why are you treating him like a joke now? Also I was happy to see a hardcore match in a wrestling promotion. I then remember that TNA is rated TV 14 not TV PG which is what WWE is. Good match but to me the ideal was idiotic to me. )

Match#3: Lei'd Tapa vs. ODB
Winner: Lei'd Tapa
(This was an interesting match to me. I say that because as much as I wanted to see these women wrestle but it wasn't right. Also it was weird to see basically the strongest women in TNA wrestle each other. This would be like Tamina Snuka vs. Kaitlyn in WWE. I got to see my girl in TNA - Gail Kim. They will fight again but hopefully it will be longer than this match. )

Main Event: Ethan Carter III, Spud, and BroMans (Robbie E and Jesse Godderz) vs. Sting and Jeff Hardy
Winners: Ethan Carter III, Spud, and BroMans (Robbie E and Jesse Godderz)
(All I will say is that I got my wish and hope that Jeff Hardy is gone for good. Other than that, this was a fucked up match. Time to end this review. )

Final Thoughts: What the fuck? Four matches in two hours? What the fuck? Really TNA? So you mean to tell me that you couldn't throw in a couple more matches? I already knew that the matches were taped before Christmas but they taped a lot of shows. I am just upset that it took like 20 minutes to see Dixie talk and get interrupted. So basically, just to kill time before the next show and the subsequent PPV on Spike TV, we get this shit. See you all for WWE Smackdown.

WWE Raw Review 12/23/13

Note: This is the holiday week, so I think it is fitting that all this week are taped shows geared for the kids and the kids of heart. I am not a kid or a kid of heart. So please forgive me if my comments and criticisms are harsh and crude. I feel like wrestlers should act more like sports athelets and have real time off just to rest and heal. Also it should be said that this week, WWE is going to be in my home town of Detroit, MI. I will not be there but if I was, it would still be a holiday themed show. So I will just dig into tonight's show and hope to geth through this without being a scrooge. Here's WWE Raw...

Match#1 - 12 Divas Jingle Belles Match: Eva Marie, Natalya, The Bella Twins, Cameron and Naomi vs. Aksana, Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox, Tamina Snuka, Vickie Guererro and Kaitlyn
Winners: Eva Marie, Natalya, The Bella Twins, Cameron and Naomi
(So, there are so many questions in this match. One question is why was this the first match of the night. Another would be why was AJ Lee not in this match. Why was Vickie in this match? What is the deal with Kaitlyn being a heel? Usually, I would love to see these matches and drool over the ass and titties of the WWE divas. However, I am starting to go into 2014 with the assumption of what's the point of this division. AJ Lee is champion but she has no real competition. Natalya is being made into a shitty gimmick being part of the diva reality show. Tamina is not going to turn on AJ Lee for a long while. Girls like Paige and Emma in the NXT division would be good competition but not ready to be in the main event. So basically, this wasn't a match geared for me. Plus watching this was raising the clusterfuck meter bar and I was close to calling this a clusterfuck. )

Match#2: Sin Cara vs. Curtis Axel
Winner: Sin Cara
(Let's be clear that this is not the original Sin Cara. This was Hunico under the mask of Sin Cara. The real Sin Cara broke his finger months ago and is healing. Hunico as Sin Cara is starting to kill the mystique of botching the matches. What was funny to watch was seeing Curtis Axel jobbing to Sin Cara. Same goes for ADR who jobbed to him months ago. This was not a cool match to watch but it was funny to see people job to this Sin Cara. )

Match#3: Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. The Wyatt Family
Winners: Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes and Goldust by DQ
(This would have been better of this had an ending not a DQ finish. We all know that Daniel Bryan is being part of this massive jobbing to Bray Wyatt and friends is part of a good storyline. My question is why does this look familiar. Kane did the same thing to Zack Ryder. Kane damn near killed Ryder but did he get payback, no he did not. To be honest, I was into this match until the ending, then I walked away from watching the mess that followed. )

Match#4 - Present On A Pole Match: Fandango vs. Dolph Ziggler
Winner: Fandango - #1 Contender For The IC Title
(This was the best fucking match of the night. Why? It is because this match was for something and also it was more entertaining than most of the matches prior. Ziggler might be in the WWE doghouse but hoping to see him come out clean as a baby. I love how no matter what, Fandango gets a title shot for something. I don't like that at all. That would be like Rick Martel getting a title shot at Hogan back in the day. He didn't get those oppurtunities. However, seeing that Vince likes to make the older fans feel like shit with guys like Ryback, Fandango and the lesser known Drew McIntyre. Moving on...)

Match#5: Darren Young and Titus O'Neil vs. The Usos
Winners: The Usos
(I will admit that I did not watch this match but have seen it over and over in the past. So nothing really have changed. Moving on...)

Match#6: "Bad Santa" Damien Sandow vs. "Good Santa" Mark Henry - Battle for Christmas
Winner: "Good Santa" Mark Henry
(This was solely for the kids. I could not watch this and wasn't going to watch this bullshit. Moving on...)

Match#7: Los Matadores vs. Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro
Winners: Los Matadores
(My god, this was the third match I just skipped. Why? SSDD in WWE is something I hate and will not stand for in 2014. However, the little bull should have a match against Hornswoggle because he is getting more attention than the guys playing as bull fighters. )

Match#8: Ryback vs. Kofi Kingston
Winner: Ryback
(SSDD in WWE is not for me. Ryback killing Kofi is not a match, it is just a sad attempt of entertainment. Moving on...)

Main Event: The Shield vs. CM Punk, Big E Langston and John Cena
Winners: CM Punk, Big E Langston and John Cena by DQ
(Well we get to the last match and we see the same thing that happen on WWE Smackdown. That's it, what else can I say. This was the same match from WWE Smackdown except adding Big E. Langston. Time to end this review. )

Final Thoughts: I find it sad that once the holidays come and goes, the WWE gives us shit to watch for the extra days off. For the kids, this show made them happy. As an adult, I feel like I got screwed. I watched more Monday Night Football in the last few weeks than WWE Raw because WWE isn't trying to keep my attention. Batista is coming back in the new year. That's good for the new year but wonder why we seeing him come back. Also who else is coming back in 2014. I am more excited to see a new year because it could mean the end of TNA and a better year for WWE. See you all for TNA Impact and hopefully something worthy to see.

WWE Smackdown Review 12/20/13

Note: We finally get to the end of the wrestling week with WWE Smackdown. I have said that WWE Raw was not the best after a PPV but it was not good either. I know that with a unified champ, we should be seeing Randy Orton defend the title tonight. If he is not defending the title tonight, I will call bullshit. With the unification of both titles, I also feel that WWE Smackdown is pointless now because of the unification of the titles. There is no more brand extension. So as I watch WWE Smackdown, I feel like unless something changes in WWE, watching this show is pointless. Until then, time to watch WWE Smackdown and hope we don't see repeats of WWE Raw matches and we get more fresh matches. Here's WWE Smackdown...

Match#1: Big E. Langston vs. Jack Swagger
Winner: Big E. Langston
(This was a good way to start the show. This was not for the title but it is fitting that Big E. is being used in the mid card more effectively. I also think pairing him with Mark Henry for now is good for his career and good for Mark Henry. This was an OK match. Swagger is not the man he was because he is at the point of being forgotten. Without Cesaro and Zeb, he would be jobbing to guys from NXT. )

Match#2: Brie Bella vs. Tamina Snuka
Winner: Brie Bella
(I am not a fan of either Bella twin. So seeing them win a match pisses me off. They don't need to be in the WWE. Cena and Bryan are the reasons they are relevant in the WWE. Also it is sad that these non wrestling bitches get more press than AJ Lee. She is the Divas champ and should be more relevant. Tamina should be more relevant than the Bellas. So you can assume that I was pissed to see this match end the way it did. )

Match#3: Sin Cara vs. Drew McIntyre
Winner: Sin Cara
(Who cares about this match? Not me. This was actually when I took a break to eat dinner and also watch something else. Why? Who cares about Hunico as Sin Cara and also who cares about Drew McIntyre? Not me. )

Match#4: Brodus Clay vs. Tensai
Winner: Tensai
(I wish I could say I did not care about this match. The fact that Brodus is a heel is slightly relevant. However, this was my thought while watching this match: If Brodus is heel now, then why didn't Tensai go back to his original gimmick? Or better yet, if Brodus is heel and feuding with his former partner then have Xavier Woods be the replacement to Brodus. Basically, I was happy to see this end and move on to the next match. )

Match#5: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust
Winners: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
(Well I will admit that this was a decent match. I love seeing Cody and Goldust be champs. I love that Cody and Goldust will be champs until WM XXX then will have the match of the year. Something I want to see for many years. As for Rowan and Harper, well I hope these guys get more ring time to get their shit together. I love this match and know this might be a good tag team title match to see in 2014. )

Match#6: The Miz vs. Damien Sandow
winner: The Miz
(So is Miz a heel or a face? That's the question that was not answered during this match. Also why did Miz use the figure four instead of the skull crushing finale? This whole match was more so confusing. Also what the fuck is going on with Damien Sandow being used in a Christmas gimmick match? Moving on. )

Match#7: Fandango vs. Kofi Kingston
Winner: Fandango
(This was boring. Moving on. )

Main Event: John Cena and CM Punk vs. The Shield
winners: John Cena and CM Punk by DQ
(This was night where The Shield takes out Super Cena but couldn't take out Best In The World. This was so much fun to watch because The Shield basically was dominate. I know I could be wrong and the editing of this show might have been different but this was still the best way to end the show. A nice twist was seeing Big E. come to save CM Punk and John Cena. A match to see for 2014 is going to be Roman Reigns vs. Big E. Langston. )

Final Thoughts: Most of this show was very entertaining and also very watchable. People don't watch WWE Smackdown because of the spoilers and also because most of the WWE Raw matches get repeated on here or WWE Main Event. This was a very entertaining show tonight. It is weird that most WWE Smackdown shows get good at the end of the year. I really don't have to say much because this was a good show and also most of the matches weren't repeated from WWE Raw. Also it is sad to say that even though this was a good show, the things WWE does to either make people like their shows or hate the shows does have to change for the better or older fans will leave and the kids will have nothing but Cena. See you all for the holiday version of WWE Raw.

TNA Final Resolution PPV Review 12/19/13

Note: Well after watching WWE Raw, I don't expect much from TNA. Seeing that TNA is back to taping shows and also doing shows back in Florida, I think TNA is about to implode. So until they do, the shows might be easier to watch because they have nothing to live for. We will see more crap about their title but hope to see something good. Also please note that this is TNA's last PPV on TV for 2013. Hopefully we might get something cool. Here's TNA Final Resolution PPV on Spike TV.

Match#1: Bobby Roode vs. Kurt Angle - 2 of 3 Falls Match
Winner: Bobby Roode
(As I watched this match, I was trying to determine if Kurt Angle is back to form and if Bobby Roode really can go. I think it is fitting that we got to see this first because this match was long in my opinion. Bobby Roode has done it all in TNA. I think he is going to be the Triple H of TNA. This is the guy that will eventually bury young talent. Angle is going to be the best of the best. This match and feud will continue but I think we got the best match from these guys. Roode is better as a heel and Angle is struggling. One thing I would change is the way this started off. Angle should have accepted the HOF nomination and also made this his retirement feud. )

Match#2: ODB and Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim and Lei’D Tapa
Winners: ODB and Madison Rayne
(As I watched this match, I was both disappointed and confused with this setup and match. I know Madison Rayne had to leave cause she was pregnant. Unlike WWE, TNA has allowed women to leave and come back from pregnancies. WWE fires women for getting pregnant. Now, the new setup for this feud was confusing because Madison Rayne left as a heel but came back as a face. I'm sorry but she is better as a heel. What disappointed me in this match was the lack of action with Lei'd Tapa. I know she is big and fearce but she seems slow this time around. Her WWE counterpart, Tamina Snuka is more nimble. I was happy to see my TNA crush, Gail Kim do what she does best. However, this was not the best match to watch in my opinion. )

Feast or Fired Results: Gunner has Case #1, Zema Ion has Case #2, Ethan Carter III has Case #3, and Chavo Guerrero has Case #4.
Winners: Gunner has a shot at the TNA Heavyweight Title, Zema Ion has a shot at the TNA X Division Title, and Ethan Carter III has a TNA Tag Team Title shot.
Loser: Chavo Guerrero got the pink slip and is fired from TNA.
(I will say that this was more so interesting because this will setup things in the new year. I cannot wait to see Gunner in the main event picture. I know he will be in a feud with James Storm but seeing Gunner in the main event is fresh and new to me in TNA. Zema Ion is basically an X Division wrestler and really would not be seen as anything else. The DJ gimmick is stupid to me because that is so 2010. That's bad for TNA to think that gimmick is going to work. Now, before we saw Chavo and ECIII open their cases, Sting comes in to start some shit with ECIII and Dixie Carter. I will admit that this was pointless because Sting needs to go away. If Hogan left TNA, why didn't Sting go with him? I wasn't surprise to see Chavo get the pink slip. What has he done in TNA lately? Not much in my opinion. My question is how is ECIII going to win a tag team title without a partner? Or will he get one of the jobbers he killed to be his partner?)

Main Event: Magnus vs. Jeff Hardy - Dixieland Match for the TNA World Title
Winner: Magnus - New Champion
(Do I care if Magnus went heel? No because he is naturally a heel. I thank god that Hardy did not win because Hardy in TNA is the equivalent of Cena in WWE. Jeff Hardy is another wrestler that needs to leave TNA. His time and usefulness is up. Time to let the real TNA guys take over. So guys like AJ Styles, Magnus, Gunner, and others be in TNA and make it watchable. I will just say that this match was just passable to be a championship match. Also just for shits and giggles, we need to know how TNA got a title in time for this match. I just know that realistically AJ Styles gave them their title back and we will have a TNA version of Cena/Punk for the real TNA Title. )

Final Thoughts: Well I will admit that if TNA is going to be doing more PPV on TV events to have more matches on the card. This was more so like a good episode of Impact. I mean there was more filler in this show than pie filling. I really think if TNA is going to make it through 2014, it needs to do more. I will admit that Magnus as the new champ is good because it is a fresh start. Unlike WWE, TNA does have people in their roster that can cycle the titles and the attention. I will say that hopefully we will see what TNA can do and hopefully be better in the new year. See you all for WWE Smackdown.

WWE Raw Review 12/16/13

Note: Last night we did not see anything worth mentioning except RKO being the new unified WWE champ. Basically the PPV was just all about the titles being unified. Same thing happened when Chris Jericho was Unified WWE champ except Jericho had more to work with. So as we get into tonight's show, we will see nothing much except RKO bragging and just some filler. Please note that from here on out, I will not be talking about the opening segments of either WWE or TNA because I watch for the matches not the segments. So here's WWE Raw...

Match#1: Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Rey Mysterio and Big Show - Non Title Match/WWE.com Poll Match
Winners: Rey Mysterio and Big Show
(I really was not into this match because this was more so a respect match. Nothing more or less. I was pissed to see Lawler, Cole and JBL take selfies during the match. WHAT THE FUCK? If the match is boring, try to make it lively. Don't do something that a young girl do to gain attention. )

Match#2: Fandango vs. Dolph Ziggler - PPV Rematch
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
(I will only say that I was happy to see Ziggler beat Vince's creation. Moving on...)

Match#3: Big E. Langston and Mark Henry vs. The Real Americans (Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro)
Winners: Big E. Langston and Mark Henry
(This was so full of bullshit. Why? It is because this match on paper was in favor of the big black guys. Not using race but really, you think the powerlifters was going to lose? No...)

Match#4: Ryback and Curtis Axel vs. Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Tensai)
Winners: Ryback and Curtis Axel
(This match was more so to setup the heel turn of Brodus Clay. And why should I care? I think Brodus is better off with a different gimmick as a heel. Why? Cena and Kofi cater to kids. Brodus can afford to be heel and be a bad ass. What about Tensai? Well either he goes back to Japan to get his honor back or take the girls and move on. Other than that, the match was jobber killer killing a jobber. )

Match#5: CM Punk and The Usos vs. The Shield - WWE App Match
Winners: The Shield
(I did not care who won this match but this was a good match. The Usos need to be more into the spotlight and less out of the mid card. The Usos can wrestle. They can be heel or face. These guys can do good work. CM Punk really wasn't effective in this match but his presence was greatly appreciated. The Shield is going to be broken up in 2014 but until then, they got the job done tonight. I would love to see The Shield vs. The Usos for the #1 Contendership of the Tag Titles soon, real soon. )

Match#6: Total Divas (Bella Twins and Natalya) vs. AJ Lee, Tamina and Alicia Fox
Winners: AJ Lee, Tamina and Alicia Fox
(I will admit that these matches are getting tired and boring but this was good. Why? Tamina and AJ Lee showed people why they are the better wrestlers in the WWE. Nattie is good but since she is a part of the Total Divas bullshit, she is lumped into the fake drama. Tamina is not a bad looking woman. I just think she is stuck in a role. AJ Lee is the queen bee of the WWE. Until they bring up the young girls from NXT, AJ Lee is going to be the best of the best. This match was good because Bellas got their asses handed to them. Any match where the Bellas get hurt is good for business in my opinion. )

Main Event: Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton - Non Title Match
Winner: Daniel Bryan by DQ
(I call bullshit. I really call bullshit. I did not care about RKO stopping the match by DQ. I did not care about how RKO is acting as a champion. I cared that Cena had to get involved. Why? Cena as champ is boring. His promos might be good as of late but it is because RKO is better as a heel but needs to work on his talking in the ring. I just think RKO as unified champ is going to kill guys like Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, and others who were WHC before the unification. I don't mind Daniel Bryan being in the main event. I think that's better than seeing Cena and Orton again. Basically, Cena had to be in the main event and also the ending of the show. Why? Vince is scared to see his cash cow lost money. )

Final Thoughts: Well this should have been a better show. I just wish WWE would actually do something to make the shows more appealing to the real wrestling fans not the kids that don't know any better. This show was basically so lackluster as a whole but had some good matches. The ending was bullshit because we cannot have a show without Cena fucking up things. I just hope 2014 is going to be the year for WWE. WWE is 50 years old and the last year or so has sucked for me. I don't care if I think I am hard on WWE because I could book a better show. Time to go to bed, see you all for TNA Impact. At least they have nothing to live for.

WWE Tables Ladders and Chairs PPV Review 12/15/13

Note: Well this is officially the last PPV from the WWE in 2013. I can honestly say that I am happy to see Royal Rumble 2014 and also what's to come in WWE in 2014. I came to the realization that I have been a fan of wrestling since 1983 and this year was my 30th year of being a wrestling fan. I will go into more details of my 30 years of being a fan in the new year because it is more fitting to do it then. As for this PPV, this is going to be interesting because the main event is going to be the way 2014 will be. Hopefully, most of these matches will be good enough to talk about into the new year. So let's have some fun and review WWE TLC PPV...

Pre-Show/Match#1: Fandango vs. Dolph Ziggler
Winner: Fandango
(Well thank god this was the pre show match. I say that because I find that Ziggler is being buried into the mid card and Vince is still high on Fandango. I will say this match was short as hell for me. I barely had time to really see something good. Ziggler can do more and Fandango is just a joke to me. Hopefully Ziggler will be in the main event. So fucking sad that with the unification of titles, he will never be that guy again. )

Match#2 - Handicap Match: CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose
Winner: CM Punk
(Well I will admit that this was a good match. CM Punk just proved that he is going to make shit happen in the new year. I don't follow rumors and bullshit but if CM Punk going into 2014 with wins and good storylines, I will hope to see him back into the main event and also being the true champ of the WWE. As for The Shield, well the seeds have been planted for them to break up and eventually the rise of these guys in the WWE as singles wrestlers. Hopefully, we might see Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins with the IC or US title holders. Good match guys and thank you for doing this right. )

Match#3 - WWE Divas Title Match: Natalya vs. AJ Lee
Winner: AJ Lee
(Well I will admit that I like this match as it was. I think putting the title on anyone associated with the Diva show would be a mistake. Nattie can wrestle but she is part of something that most people don't think should be seen. I will also admit as we get ready to start 2014, there should be a way to get the WWE Women's Title back and give the Divas title to the Bellas and let all those in the diva show to fight over that title. I do like AJ Lee but eventually, they will put the title on someone else soon. Please don't put it on Eva Marie or Naomi/Cameron. )

Match#4 - WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Damien Sandow vs. Big E Langston
Winner: Big E Langston
(I will admit that this match was pointless. We just got the title off Axel. Sandow should be WHC but Cena had to fuck up that dream. This was pointless because it is going to be interesting to see who gets a real title shot at Big E. in 2014. Maybe if they do something with Rollins or Reigns, it might be interesting to see. Also it should be noted that WWE should use Main Event as a show for the mid card titles. )

Match#5 - Fatal 4 Way for the WWE Tag Team Titles: Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro vs. Big Show & Rey Mysterio vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel vs. Goldust & Cody Rhodes
Winners: Cody Rhodes and Goldust
(I am so fucking glad the Rhodes brothers still have the title. I can see them losing in time for Wrestlemania but until then, good job. This was actually a good match because at least most of these guys were not on the pre show. I will also admit that out of most of these teams, aside from Cody and Goldust, I think we could see The Real Americans being the champs in 2014. Unless they bring up guys from NXT, that might be the plan. )

Match#6 - Brodus Clay vs. R-Truth
Winner: R-Truth
(Well Brodus Clay is officially heel. Ok good. Other than that, I don't care. Moving on...)

Match#7 - No Disqualification Match: Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz
Winner: Kofi Kingston
(This was bullshit! All this build up for this match and for what? This was so short that I barely had time to even think about what I though about this match. This was shit. What the fuck? I have seen better from both these guys on TV. This should have been on the pre-show. At least the pre-show could have been like a cooler version of Main Event. Moving on...)

Match#8 - Handicap Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
Winners: The Wyatt Family
(So CM Punk beat the best team in the WWE for this year but Bryan got jobbed to the most mediocre one? What the fuck? I think it is funny that Bryan is about to be jobbed because he is getting more attention than Cena or Orton. I have flip flopped about this team but it is because one guy can wrestle but the other two are still green. I will admit that I don't like the logic WWE is using. I just hope we don't see Bryan being on the pre show jobbing to some NXT guy. )

Main Event - TLC Match for the Unified WWE Title: John Cena vs. Randy Orton
Winner: Randy Orton
(I am going to say this for people to see but this was total bullshit. I was saying this before hand because Cena and Orton have been done to death since 2004. I think it is sad that WWE or mainly Vince, Steph, and Triple H is stuck in the past and cannot allow guys like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, or even Damien Sandow to be in the main event. This was why WWE split the titles. This was why we had a real brand extension that lasted almost five years or more. This match just makes it hard to see new people in the main event. In 2014, we need to see something real in WWE. No more bullshit storylines. I don't need to talk about the match because it has been done. However, seeing that Stephanie and Triple H are the new authority, we might have seen something new and different. I will admit that I was confused with the ending but happy to see Cena lose a match and a title. Vince, Steph, and Triple H got their face of the WWE and their unified champ. The end. )

Final Thoughts: This was officially the last PPV from WWE in 2013. This did not feel like a PPV at times. I think most of the show was big build up for most of the matches but little pay off. I mean if CM Punk vs. The Shield was the best thing on, that's sad. If you wanted to see AJ Lee lose her title, you were not going to see change. Basically, this PPV was all about the unification of titles. Even that was a big letdown. Cena did kick out at two but RKO used the methods of Eddie Guerrero. So I will admit that I am glad I did not pay for this PPV and think most people should just avoid paying for a PPV from WWE unless it is going to be better than a Raw or Smackdown show. See you all for WWE Raw. We might see some of these matches repeated again.

WWE Smackdown Review 12/13/13

Note: Well we end the week of wrestling with WWE Smackdown. I find it fitting that this will lead to something good for the new week. Seeing that WWE have a PPV this weekend, TNA will have a PPV on TV, and we might see a Tribute To The Troops it might be a better week to end the year for wrestling. So as we get ready for WWE Smackdown, it should be said that I feel like the end of the year should be the best time for WWE Smackdown because it tapes more shows and also better stories. So with that said, let's watch WWE Smackdown to see the what's in store for the PPV.

Match#1: Daniel Bryan vs. Erick Rowan
Winner: Daniel Bryan by DQ
(I think it is fitting that Daniel Bryan was show us that he is the main event for 2013. However, this match was more so a setup for their match for the PPV. Daniel Bryan might be the winner for tonight but the PPV is a different story. I am trying to like the Wyatt Family but some weeks it is 50/50. I want to like these guys but to be honest with you all, it is hard to like these characters. I think WWE is going to fuck up by making Bryan into a joke for 2014. Or I could be wrong and he could take out three men and we might know more about why they target Daniel Bryan. )

Match#2: The Real Americans vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust
Winners: The Real Americans
(I think it is getting to me that SSDD is a common occurrence in WWE. I don't mind seeing matches over again if they have a purpose. This had no purpose. Moving on...)

Match#3: Mark Henry vs. Damien Sandow
Winner: Mark Henry by Count Out
(This match had a purpose. We know that Damien Sandow will meet Big E. Langston at the PPV for the IC title. So we figured to see something happen with Big E. and Sandow. We did. Plus Mark Henry was a bonus because it is good to see him back for one more run of things. )

Match#4: AJ Lee and Tamina vs. The Bella Twins
Winners: AJ Lee and Tamina
(I will admit that aside from seeing Nattie at ringside doing commentary about her title match at the PPV, the other reason why I watched this match is that this might be the last time seeing AJ Lee with the Divas Title. I will also admit that seeing AJ Lee making a Bella tap out to the Black Widow was very cool. Natalya is not really a reality star but I could accept her as champ. If the Bellas win, I quit watching the divas. )

Match#5: The Shield vs. The Usos
Winners: The Shield
(I will admit that this was a good match to see. Why? Simple, it is because these teams are young and can have good matches each night. The Usos are usually jobbing to shittier teams. The Shield has been the team to beat for this year. I find it rare on Smackdown to watch good tag team matches. Also it is rare to say that if they go for another match, it should be for the tag titles. Maybe in 2014. )

Match#6: Big Show vs. Ryback
Winner: Big Show
(This was boring. Sorry but this was just so boring that I had to change channels and also just catch the end. To be honest, watching local cable programming was better because Ryback is a mid carder and Big Show is just there for show...that was funny. )

Match#7: Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Never Happened
(I might be wrong but if this match happened, it was not seen by me. The Miz came down and took out Kofi. That's what I saw. To be honest, if this was to happen then I would have changed channels anyways. This is just how sad it is for me to ignore matches but ADR is boring and Kofi is basically the mid card version of John Cena. )

Main Event: Randy Orton comes out to apologize to Triple H. Triple H then comes out and confront Orton. Triple H accepted his apology.
(This was total bullshit. I am use to seeing matches at the end of Smackdown. This is the kind of shit that happens on WWE Raw. I wanted to see a good match to end the show and lead us into the PPV. This was sad because what Cena said on WWE Raw was so fucking true to a point. RKO has been sheltered while Cena worked his ass off. You want to know why most people don't want to see this match at the PPV? SSDD from WWE. Plus Cena is always the face of WWE not RKO. )

Final Thoughts: So as we get ready for the PPV this Sunday, we see that WWE is going to end the year with some bullshit. So you going to bury CM Punk and Daniel Bryan in bullshit matches? Why? So you going to give us another Cena vs. Orton match? Why? I really think this has been a good year for WWE but ending the year with what is coming is a letdown for the real fans of the WWE. There are real fans in the WWE not the kids who don't remember anything past 2006. See you all for WWE Tables Ladders and Chairs PPV and also WWE Raw.

TNA Impact Review 12/12/13

Note: Well as we get ready to watch another episode of TNA, I think it is fitting to say that if TNA makes it through 2014 then maybe there is a chance we will see something better than what has been on TV. I know I have been harder on TNA because they use old WWE talent and older WCW/ECW talent but they can be more than just some smaller wrestling promotion. I was reminded that TNA will be having another PPV on TV next week, so hopefully this will make that show better than what we will see. So time to watch TNA Impact...

Match#1: Bad Influence vs. Joseph Park and Eric Young
Winners: Joseph Park and Eric Young
(First of all, this was hard to watch because I felt sorry for Bad Influence because these guys can do more for the main event than the mid card. Also, Eric Young is more so now a reality TV star than a wrestler. Basically, the only good thing about this match was that people finally figured out that Abyss has another personality. I got bored except for the ending. So please kill Joseph Park and bring back Abyss. We need something original from TNA not bullshit. )

Match#2: Ethan Carter III vs. Jeremy Borash
Winner: Never Happened
(I will admit this is one time that I was happy to see Sting. Why? I was not going to see ECIII kill Jeremy Borash. Also he got him to be in the main event instead of killing another jobber. Other than that, moving on...)

Match#3: Austin Aries vs. Chris Sabin - TNA X Division Title Match
Winner: Austin Aries - New Champion
(I have always said that the X Division needs to be on TV more often. This was just the reason why. I loved every second of this match. I wished this was the main event and the other match was before this one. Sabin is a good X Division Champ. He could be a good TNA champ. Same with Aries. Aries is basically the CM Punk of TNA. All we need is for him to just go off script and air some grievances. This match was good. I was happy to see this but this was not the end of the show. Also this did add more men to the main event.)

Main Event: Samoa Joe, James Storm, Gunner, Chavo Guerrero, Hernandez, Austin Aries, Ethan Carter III, Chris Sabin, Curry Man, Zema Ion, Norv Fernum, and Dewey Barnes - Feast or Fired Match
Winners: Gunner is #1, Zema Ion is #2, Ethan Carter III is #3 and Chavo is #4.
(I haven't see a match like this is some time. I was so glad to have an explaination of this match. Basically this is like Money In The Bank with four briefcases. One can get you a pink slip and the other three gets you a title match with either the TNA Champ, TNA X Division Champ, or TNA Tag Team Title Match. So why in the fuck did we see Barnes and Fernum in this match? I am convinced that seeing those jobbers was like putting in Brooklyn Brawler in the main event of WWE Raw. As for this match, this was possibly the best version of a clusterfuck in TNA. I think the match was very funny because once you get the briefcase, you leave. This was five minutes too long because I would have took all the cases and left. I think I will end my thoughts there and end this review.)

Final Thoughts: This was more so a show for segments rather than matches. We did get some good things for the PPV on TV show next week. Someone will be fired. Someone else will have title matches at the PPV. We will see a new champion and more. Basically, this could have been done and edited in one hour. So I will make this review short and sweet. Nothing really new except for the X Division Title match. Also cannot wait to see this PPV on TV because maybe we get more action and less comedy and reality TV bullshit. See you all for WWE Smackdown and the end of this wrestling week.

WWE Raw Review 12/9/13 - Slammy Awards 2013

Note: This is the Slammy Awards for 2013. Last year's Slammy Awards is really an after thought because I really cannot remember who won and for what. I could re-read the blog about it but will just move forward. As we get ready for the awards, I think it is fitting to say that if this is an actual fan based voting event, we might see something different and creative. Also please note that whatever I say is going to be based on my opinion not on fact. All my reviews of WWE and TNA is mostly opinions. So time to watch 2013 WWE Slammy Awards...

Hosts: Jerry Lawler and Booker T.
(I wanted to comment on the fact that WWE is determined to use their older wrestlers in small roles. I am sensing a pattern because Lawler is going to be commentating on matches for years to come. Booker T. is doing what in WWE? He was GM of WWE Smackdown but now he is just there. Same thing with Teddy Long. I think it is bad for business for the older fans to watch these men be dwindled down to comedic relief and cheap pops to the fans. )

#1 - LOL Moment of 2013
Presenters: New Age Outlaws
Nominees: Vickie Guerrero/Titus O'Neil/Santino and The Cobra/The Rock
Winner: The Rock
(So far, the fans got this right. Seeing this live was cool. Seeing this all over Youtube is funny as hell. The Rock is still getting people's attention even after the fact he was in WWE for like a couple PPVs and WWE Raw shows. I love that the older fans want to see The Rock but the kids rather see John Cena act black and not be an asshole. Moving on...)

#2 - Double Cross of 2013
Presenters: The Shield
Nominees: Mark Henry/Shawn Michaels/Paul Heyman/Triple H
Winner: Shawn Michaels
(The fans shocked me, I wanted to see Mark Henry but HBK's double cross was better. I have got to the point where some guys are better as heels. HBK was a good heel. He still is. I don't think I need to say anything else because this was good TV for me on WWE Raw. )

#3 - Diva of 2013
Presenter: Eve Torres
Nominees: Bella Twins/Naomi and Cameron/Kaitlyn/Natalya/Eva Marie/AJ Lee
Winners: Bella Twins
(This is where I sense a fix. This was bullshit on so many levels. Bellas aren't divas but girlfriends to real main eventers. AJ Lee or Kaitlyn should have won. Bellas aren't worth my time. Plus one of them is dumb as fuck and the other one looks like she might be anorexic. Moving on from this fixed bullshit. )

#4 - Superstar of 2013
Presenter: Shawn Michaels
Nominees: Brock Lesnar/CM Punk/Big Show/Daniel Bryan/Randy Orton/John Cena
Winner: Daniel Bryan
(Words cannot explain this whole event and category. Seeing HBK and Daniel Bryan face to face shows that people need to make a match with HBK and Daniel Bryan. If we got Taker and CM Punk, we can get Bryan and HBK. )

#5 - Fan Participation Award of 2013
Presenters: Prime Time Players
Nominees: Fandango-ing/Daniel Bryan's Yes Chants/Let's Go Cena-Cena Sucks/R-Truth's What's Up
Winner: Daniel Bryan's Yes Chants
(The fans got this right because the fans are really voting. This was awesome to see Bryan win a second award of the night.)

#6 - Insult of 2013
Presenter: The Miz
Nominees: AJ Lee/Zeb Colter/Paul Heyman/Stephanie McMahon
Winner: Stephanie McMahon
(No comment because I know this was fixed. )

#7 - Extreme Moment of 2013
Presenter: Mick Foley
Nominees: The Shield/Ryback/CM Punk/The Wyatt Family
Winner: CM Punk
(This was a shocker because I was hoping for The Shield or The Wyatt Family. CM Punk on top of the Hell In A Cell was sweet and cool. This is another sign that WWE is not fixing all the categories. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are the new main guys. This is a new version of Savage and Hogan. )

#8 - Match Of 2013
Presenter: Bret Hart
Nominees: Taker vs. CM Punk/The Shield vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust/Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar/The Rock vs. Cena
Winner: The Rock vs. Cena
(At the end, the fix wins it out. CM Punk had some better matches in 2013. Same goes for Daniel Bryan. Cena winning this slammy was a way to make sure people see Cena on TV. Also I just want to say that WWE should have added more matches to this category. )

Final Thoughts: I will admit that a lot of my comments were short because most picks were right. I will also admit that this year's Slammy show was not really exciting but it did have some good moments. Seeing HBK and Daniel Bryan was good because we should get a match between them. It was good seeing Bret Hart on WWE Raw not on a PPV pre-show. I think Stephanie winning an award for making a grown man look like shit was bullshit. I love Stephanie but that was not good for business. I found it funny that we did not get to see Triple H come out during this award show. Also one more thing, if they do a seperate show for the WWE Hall of Fame then we should get a separate Slammy Award show. See you next year...

WWE Raw Review 12/9/13 - Show Results

Note: As we start a new week of wrestling, it is with some excitement that tonight's WWE Raw show and the TLC PPV this Sunday will be the best times to see the best in WWE. Tonight we got the Slammy Awards and it is weird to say that because this year, I am going to seperate the actual award show and the action in the ring as seperate reviews. I think I was going to do it last year but didn't. If I did then I forgot. So as we watch tonight's show, it will be done seperately. Something that should be interesting is the fact that for the last time, we will see both WWE and World Heavyweight Titles as seperate titles. So time to watch WWE Raw - Slammy Edition.

Match#1: Daniel Bryan vs. Fandango
Winner: Daniel Bryan
(This was a good way to start the show. I have said that this is how you start a show. No titles, no bullshit, just good action. The ending was weird because The Wyatt Family came out. )

Match#2: Santino Marella vs. Damien Sandow
Winner: Damien Sandow
(I will admit that I nodded off during this match. It was not boring, but it was predictable.)

Match#3: Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz
Winner: The Miz
(I think it is fitting that these guys would be fighting it out in the mid card. Kofi has never been in the main event. The Miz was in the main event. Their matches was good enough to see a couple more times. I think it is better off to see The Miz as a heel and Kofi act like he might go heel as well. Not the best match of the night but the ending was different. )

Match#4: The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) and Rybaxel (Curtis Axel and Ryback) vs. Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Cody Rhodes and Goldust
Winners: Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Cody Rhodes and Goldust
(This was so boring that I changed channels to see Monday Night Football. Why is this boring? Because this was a clusterfuck. This might be the clusterfuck of 2013. Not!)

Match#5: Sin Cara vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: Sin Cara
(If people are tired of Cena/Orton then this feud should make people sick to their stomachs. Not really boring but it is interesting that this is not the real Sin Cara but Hunico playing Sin Cara. So really, Hunico can't be himself but he gets wins as someone else. WWE logic is so backwards. )

Match#6: Brodus Clay vs. Xavier Woods
Winner: Brodus Clay
(I was going to be nice about this match but Brodus made me say these things. First of all, what the fuck is he smoking? He is not a main event player unless he thinks he is a big deal on WWE Main Event. That's the C show. Xavier Woods is going to be a good mid carder but I hope he shuts Brodus up. )

Match#7: CM Punk vs. Dean Ambrose
Winner: CM Punk
(I am going to say this was still a good match because these men don't do bad matches. I think this was good enough to end the show. I wish this was for a title or something. This is the future of WWE. This was so good that I wish this was longer and more extreme. I cannot say enough good things about CM Punk because he is a true wrestler. Same thing goes with Dean Ambrose. I find it sad he has a mid card title that no one really wants. I know we will see the end of The Shield. So when that comes, we will see some instant classics with all three men soon. Tonight, this was all CM Punk. )

Match#8: The Usos vs. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
Winner: Erick Rowan and Luke Harper
(I will not say this match was bad. I will say that both teams are just ok. Nothing new or exciting but this did kill time during the show. )

Match#9: Natalya vs. Tamina Snuka
Winner: Natalya
(This was a quick match. However, seeing Nattie hug her uncle before the match was good for me. I think it is fitting that we might see a new champion because as much as I like AJ Lee as champ, Nattie should have been champ years ago. Time to end the show...)

Main Event: The WWE Championship and The World Heavyweight Championship merger into the new version of the WWE Unified Championship.
(I will admit that seeing both main titles merge into one title is bittersweet because this means we will see a real champ on both WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown. This would also mean that we won't get to see the World Heavyweight Title being used as a mid card title anymore. Triple H speak was not boring but very interesting. Seeing all the former champs in the ring was unique because this is rare to see. Sort of like seeing all the living presidents of the U.S. As RKO comes out, I think it is fitting that he is going to either be a main eventer in 2014 or mid card jobbing. I hate seeing Cena as any form of champ because he is Vince's golden goose. To me, he is a huge asshole. However, Cena is taking a page from CM Punk and possibly showing people he is not an asshole. He just made the ending of this show and we might see Cena/Bryan II. No rebuttal from RKO but a fight break outs. CM Punk hits RKO. Triple H hits CM Punk. Chaos ensues with Triple H taking out RKO. )

Final Thoughts: The Seattle crowd was on point tonight. Not as good as WWE Raw in Detroit but they were on point with a lot of the bullshit going on tonight. I think most of this show was close to being SSDD but a lot of things that were repeats were different because it was. Looking at this show just for matches was a very interesting experiment because WWE can do both a wrestling event and an award show at the same time. I guess I will just end this review by saying that this Sunday's PPV will be interesting to watch. See you all for the Slammy Award Review and also TNA Impact.

WWE Smackdown Review 12/6/13

Note: Well we are at the end of the wrestling week. Time to watch WWE Smackdown. Seeing that WWE is on cruise control since it is the end of the year and the real fun begins next year with the celebration of 20 years of WWE Raw and also the celebration of 20 years of Royal Rumble, WWE is not going to be interesting for a while. WWE Smackdown is not know for interesting storylines since most WWE Raw matches are repeated here. So hopefully we get something different and interesting. So time to watch WWE Smackdown and end the wrestling week...

Match#1: Fandango vs. Big E Langston - Non Title Match
Winner: Big E. Langston
(Even though Damien Sandow was at ringside, this was more so a sqaush match. Thank you Big E for killing off Vince's creation. I think it is fitting that Big E had a natural progress with his career. He was not rushed into a title and he was not rushed into his recent change in character. Also it was funny to see Mark Henry mentor him because that match would be a good thing. As for this match, this was fun to watch. Also, Damien Sandow is stuck in mid card hell. )

Match#2: Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel - Non Title Match
Winners: Curtis Axel and Ryback
(I was not going to watch this match because I have seen this match before. However, this was different because Axel channeled his father with how he won this match. I think it is good that WWE is going to make more tag teams but at the same time, we need to make more real tag teams not just put two guys together. Moving on...)

Match#3: Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio
Winner: No Contest
(This is the only time we get to see ADR really be a great heel and wrestler. Even though this match never really started, it was good to see ADR get some aggression out. I think it is sad that Kofi is the best guy to get an ass whooping. I never saw someone get his ass handed to him like Kofi did. I would have loved to see Kofi arm broken. )

Match#4: CM Punk vs. Dean Ambrose
Winner: CM Punk
(This was the best match of the night. My god, it is true that indy guys can have better matches. This was a dream for all people that saw this match like a couple years ago. I loved every second of this match. Dean Ambrose is a main eventer. CM Punk is a good teacher. This was a schooling. So glad to see that WWE isn't trying to kill indy guys...I made a joke. Anyways, there was no interference from the other guys in The Shield. Best match of the night. )

Match#5: Tamina Snuka vs. Natalya
Winner: Natalya
(Forgive me for saying this but this was a very quick match to see and hard to FAP to. Most of the match was taken away because AJ Lee was at ringside doing commentary. I think we should see more females do commentary. Especially if they can stop JBL and Cole from acting like assholes. Moving on...)

Match#6: Rey Mysterio and Big Show vs. The Real Americans(Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro)
Winners: Rey Mysterio and Big Show
(I did not care much for this match. I wish I could speak on this match but it was boring to me.)

Main Event: Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan - Non Title Match
Winner: Randy Orton
(I was so into this match because I wanted to see a good match at the end. I will say this was the second match of the night to make me happy but the ending fucked that up. Before the ending, this was a classic match between these men. This was the one time that Orton was not boring and did not suck. I think if I was there live, this would have been better seen. RKO is getting boring but not his fault. Daniel Bryan should be in the main event not feuding with mid carders. The ending killed this match because instead of psyching Daniel Bryan out that it made for a rather awkward moment. I will leave it there and end this review. )

Final Thoughts: I will admit that this was a good show but in my opinion the ending was bordering something I won't say outloud. I will also admit that while watching this show, it was better than watching WWE Raw some weeks. I think WWE is not trying to eliminate older fans but it is not doing a good job making this kid friendly. I think it is sad that some of the backstage segments are better than the actual matches. I am watching wrestling not American Idol. I need wrestling not talking unless it is prior to a match. See you all for the Slammy Awards on WWE Raw.

TNA Impact Review 11/5/13

Note: This past week's WWE Raw show was very lacklustered and very bland. With that said, it is time for TNA Impact to show some of us as wrestling fans what they can do to make wrestling entertaining again. I only say that because we all know that WWE is on cruise control at this time of the year. Well seeing this is TNA, we will see something come about with Title Tournament and AJ Styles and the real TNA championship. Basically, it is going to be an interesting show. So time to watch TNA Impact...

Match#1: Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode - Tables Match/Semi-Finals for the TNA Title Tournament
Winner: Jeff Hardy
(As you know, I think Jeff Hardy is old and tired. I rather have saw Roode win because he is better and also more feasable as a title contender. Even watching this match was hard because it was a set up for Hardy to win. I really want to know why TNA wants to see Hardy as a champion. Hardy is not a good main eventer. He is mid card or less. The restart of this match should have helped Bobby Roode but it didn't. Bobby Roode will be in the title picture in 2014. I hope. )

Match#2: Ethan Carter III vs. Earl Hebner
Winner: Ethan Carter III
(No fucking comment! Moving on...)

Match#3: BroMans (Jesse Godderz and Robbie E.) vs. James Storm and Gunner
Winners: BroMans by DQ
(Another match that I have nothing to say. Moving on...)

Match#4: Gail Kim vs. Laura Dennis
Winner: Gail Kim
(Well I feel this was a jobber match for Gail Kim. Even though the girl she was facing was a hottie and could be made for WWE divas division. This was not Gail Kim's best match but this was more watchable than the two earlier matches. I know we will see ODB and Lei'd Tapa wrestle soon but someone needs to step up to face Gail Kim. )

Main Event: Kurt Angle vs. Magnus - Last Man Standing/Semi-Finals for the TNA Title Tournament
Winner: Magnus
(This would have save the show and could have been the best match of the night. However, this match could not save the show but it was good until the ending. Angle was on the ropes. Magnus was doing everything he could to win. This was better than the opening match because this was not setup for anyone. Both men had to do more in this match. I figured that Bobby Roode would help Magnus win just to piss off Angle. If this ended cleanly, Magnus could have taken out Angle.)

Final Thoughts: Well it is weird to say this was a good show. It was not a good show. Two matches does not make a good show. This show is two hours but feel like most of everything would fit into one hour. Bad Influence couldn't save this show. All the 365 segments make this more of a reality show than a wrestling program. I am not trying to be critical of TNA but it is sad to see so much comedy and less action. Good night all, see you for WWE Smackdown...

WWE Raw Review 12/2/13

Note: According to the calendar, it is approaching the end of 2013. As we gear up for the last PPVs from TNA and WWE, it is fitting that we start to review this year. Before we do we still got shows to review and comment on. This is a new week of wrestling. We should be getting a lot of things going on in WWE this week. Plus we should get the best of WWE because we are going to see the titles unified plus we will see some interesting matches for the PPV and the rest of the month. So time to watch WWE Raw and hope I don't have to change channels. Here's WWE Raw...

Opening Segment: CM Punk is out in the ring. He is trying to figure out why The Shield attacked him last week. He questions if Triple H had something to do with it. As he was about to start a pipe bomb, Stephanie McMahon comes out. She says that if he has a problem then talk to Kane. Kane comes out and speaks like he is a lawyer. CM Punk retorts by saying that Kane is an ass kisser. CM Punk wants to fight Kane. Stephanie stops him and here comes The Shield. Kane makes a match at the PPV with The Shield.
(So why is CM Punk fighting The Shield at the PPV? Why did they change the rematch with The Wyatt Family vs. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan? I like seeing a good opening segment but this was kind of a letdown. I think WWE is trying to change up things now because people are getting tired of the same shit. However, having Kane speak like a lawyer kind of killed the segment. Making the match at the PPV save him some but this whole thing was boring.  )

Match#1: Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow - #1 Contender for IC Title @ WWE TLC PPV
Winner: Damien Sandow
(This was kind of pointless. I figured since Dolph pissed off someone in management, he is not going to be in any title pictures right now. Having Damien Sandow win was pointless because he got screwed out of a title because Cena is Vince's wet dream. Having Big E. doing commentating was interesting because he can speak. Too bad this match was very weak.)

Match#2: AJ Lee, Tamina and Summer Rae vs. Natalya and The Bella Twins
Winners: Natalya and The Bella Twins
(I hate WWE for putting a diva reality show on TV. Now because of this show, we got matches that have to promote the show and also makes people see that WWE have no real women's wrestling but mostly models that assume they can wrestle. Natalya is a good wrestler. However, she is surrounded with a bunch of women who can't do shit in the ring. AJ Lee can wrestle but she is like Natalya. Too bad we won't see Nattie with the title. AJ Lee could be the longest diva's champ in modern times. I didn't care much for anyone else in the ring. Even Tamina was just there this week.)

Match#3: Daniel Bryan vs. Erick Rowan
Winner: Daniel Bryan
(I want to know what is WWE thinking. Why is Daniel Bryan in a match with The Wyatt Family? Just like CM Punk and The Shield, it is just weird booking from WWE. So you mean you are going to bury Bryan with midcarders? My god, it is hard to even listen to the commentating because they aren't even calling the match. I just think WWE is determine to give the fans a big fuck you with them making CM Punk and Daniel Bryan fight midcarders. It is sad that Daniel Bryan is in a feud with this group. Moving on....)

Match#4: R-Truth and Xavier Woods vs. Tensai and Brodus Clay
Winners: R-Truth and Xavier Woods
(So here we see why it is better to only watch one WWE show per week. I saw this match on Smackdown. I know this is going to help Xavier Woods get into the main roster. I am not mad about that. I think it is smart to give another NXT star a shot in the main roster. Xavier Woods will make a good midcarder. So aside from that, it is clear that we are going to see Brodus Clay go heel soon. Thank you god! The match ends and we move on. )

Match#5: Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara
Winner: Sin Cara
(People hated seeing Rock and Cena but this match has been going on so long that it is time to shoot the pooch. That means move on and stop the insanity. Last time they fought, Sin Cara botched an injury. I think it is sad that Sin Cara is the biggest joke of the WWE. He botches everything. Hell, he needs to just botch his death. As for ADR, my god I have bread that is more interesting to watch toasted. ADR was suppose to be good, but he is just a jobber with so so mic skills. What just happened? Sin Cara won! Holy shit, Sin Cara won on WWE Raw. )

Match#6: Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Big Show vs. The Shield
Winners: The Shield
(This was a good match. My god, it is sad to say that because it is sad to realize that tag matches in WWE are better than the singles matches. The Shield is not midcarders. All three of these men can and will be main eventers. Big Show is just good. Cody and Goldust are the best team right now. I still think The Shield is going to be around in the new year but I know WWE will split them up before WM XXX. Best match of the night. That's saying a lot because it feels like this match helped rating for hour two of WWE Raw. )

Match#7: Kofi Kingston and The Miz vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel
Winners: Ryback and Curtis Axel
(My god, this was done already. Why am I seeing this repeat of a shitty match. Four midcarders trying to be make a good match. This was not good. Ryback is lame now. Curtis Axel is going to be jobbing to Santino Marella soon. Kofi is going to be bouncing around for the kids and The Miz is just there. I think The Miz as a heel is good for me. )

Match#8: Mark Henry vs. Fandango
Winner: Mark Henry
(Holy shit! So Vince's creation in a match with a guy that could kill you by sitting on you. Well thank you Vince for killing another creation. Seeing this match was like seeing a stone kill a bug. We all know that Fandango is not going to be champion. However, if he won this match, I would stop watching WWE for all of 2014. Thanks for coming Fandango. Now we can end the show. I think. )

Match#9: Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) vs. The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger)
Winners: The Real Americans
(After what happened on WWE Smackdown last week, I think I can say that PTP is going to have the best and worst moment of 2013. I feel sorry for Titus O'Neil, JBL, Michael Cole, and Zeb Coulter. Even though Cesaro and Swagger won this match, we all won for not seeing Titus O'Neil puke again. My god, let's end the show. )

Main Event: Contract Signing for the TLC PPV Unified Titles Match between John Cena and Randy Orton
(So why is contract signing in the WWE equal a fight? Because it is the only way we get to see guys fight in the main event. Cena is not jobbing to anyone. Orton is not jobbing to anyone. They will talk some bullshit and some funny lines will be said. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will make the point that this is going to be a big deal. Chris Jericho winning the titles was a big deal. This is just WWE saying that Cena/Orton is better than CM Punk/Daniel Bryan. Watching them talk reminds me why I think Cena and Orton is worse than Hogan and Savage. At least Hogan and Savage had good matches. Their history is like hit or miss. I change the channel at the end because seen it before and tired of it. )

Final Thoughts: This was suppose to be a good show. One match does not make a good show. All we got was the matches filled for the PPV. We know we will see the main titles be unified for the first time in 10 years. We will see other title matches at the PPV. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are in handicap matches. This was not a good show. People might say it was but a good show is full of good matches. This was more relying on the backstage segments keeping fans watching. Also, seeing that next week is the WWE's year in review show which is The Slammy Edition of WWE Raw, we won't be getting any real action next week. See you all for TNA Impact...

WWE Smackdown Review - Black Friday Edition 2013

Note: Well we got through this week of wrestling. Barely. So as we get ready to watch WWE Smackdown for this week, we need to remind people that WWE is going back to the early 2000's with Cena as champ and Orton as champ. We found out that both titles will be unified. Last time we had unified championship was 2002 with Brock Lesnar as both WWE and WHC titles. WWE has ran out of fresh angles and storylines and reverted back to old matches like Big Show and Orton or Cena and Orton. Let's watch WWE Smackdown and let's see what craziness we will see in the WWE. Seeing that this is after thanksgiving, I will officially dub this the Black Friday edition.

Match#1: Mark Henry vs. Curtis Axel
Winner: Mark Henry
(This was just sad. Mark Henry's new catchphrase should be - killing jobbers is what he do. This was just said. Love the fact that he is trying to make people remember The Junkyard Dog with some of his moves. Of course, people in the IWC are calling him Rick Ross of the WWE. Moving on. )

Match#2: Los Matadores vs. 3MB
Winners: Los Matadores
(This was even sadder to watch. Moving on. )

Match#3: Tons of Funk (Tensai and Brodus Clay) vs. Xavier Woods and R-Truth
Winners: Tons of Funk
(So since when is Brodus Clay is a main eventer? I did not get the memo. Brodus had been drinking some weird kool aid or smoking something funky. Brodus is about to be a heel, so let him be heel. Poor Tensai had to be the voice of reason. What the fuck? So Xavier Woods is the newest member from NXT to move into the mid card. Will someone explain to me why some of the more popular guys in NXT aren't on the main show. I didn't care who won this match, just call bullshit on Brodus Clay for assuming he is a main eventer. )

Match#4: Antonio Cesaro vs. Titus O'Neil
Winner: Antonio Cesaro by DQ
(The best way to explain this match is to go back to the segment with Titus O'Neil and The Great Khali. So Vickie had an eating contest which Titus O'Neil won. He won this match. Titus was sick throughout this match. Cesaro did his swing on Titus. That was the worst ideal ever on TV. A big black guy who just a lot of food is not going to be able to wrestle. Also he will upchuck all that food. So it was smart of Titus' partner, Darren Young to cause the DQ. However, since WWE doesn't show blood but will show vomit. Not in the literal sense but we did hear upchuck and also we saw chunks. Best match ever! Why? Upchucking after a match reminded me of the wrestler known as Puke. Moving on. )

Main Event Part 1: The Shield (Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust - Tag Team Title Match
Winners: Cody Rhodes and Goldust by DQ

Main Event Part 2: Cody Rhodes, Goldust and CM Punk vs. The Shield
Winner: No Contest

Main Event Part 3: Cody Rhodes, Goldust, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and The Usos vs. The Shield and The Wyatt Family
Winners: Cody Rhodes, Goldust, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and The Usos
(The first match was a good match until Dean Ambrose had to cause the DQ. The other matches were basically a good clusterfuck. WWE is trying to make tag teams in the new year. However, it is time to bring up the kids from NXT not make tag teams from singles wrestlers. It is best to end this with saying this wasn't for the TV fans but it was more so for the fan at the event. Time to end the review. )

Final Thoughts: Unlike TNA last night, WWE ended the show with a match and we got to see something different and unique. I think I can say we ended the week of wrestling with something to think about when we think of all the year in review stuff that is coming up. As I end this entry, we as wrestling fans need to start letting people in WWE and TNA know we need creative matches and also creative storylines. I stopped watch NXT because it was getting too sappy. So time to end this week and hope for better things in the new week. See you all for WWE Raw.

TNA Impact Review - Thanksgiving Edition 2013

Note: Today is Thanksgiving. We are suppose to have something to be thankful for. I am thankful to be a wrestling fan for 30 years. However, tonight's TNA show might test my faith and patience with the wrestling business. I have been critical with both TNA and WWE because it is sad to watch good wrestling go to waste. Hopefully tonight's show is going to change my mind with how I feel. TNA is having a Survivor Series like match and also we might get to see something new and different. So now the turkey is eaten and we got past football, we can now watch TNA Impact.

Match#1: Ethan Carter III vs. Curry Man
Winner: Ethan Carter III
(This was so fucking boring that I decided to play a drinking game to see how many shots it takes for me to watch this match and think it was the best thing since sliced bread. I was drunk in less than two minutes. This was boring. I think WWE dropped the ball with him when he was in NXT. TNA is making him into a dumb joke. Moving on. )

Match#2: Lei'd Tapa vs. Velvet Sky
Winner: Lei'd Tapa
(As I am watching this match, I think it was sad to see Lei'd Tapa be wasted in this match. This was not a good match for the KO division. Even though I loved seeing Gail Kim at ringside. Also I am convinced that both Gail Kim and AJ Lee are using Samoan women to be their bodyguards. Who says WWE and TNA aren't keeping track with who does what and with who. Gotta love SSDD in both. )

Match#3: BroMans vs. Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum
Winners: BroMans
(NO FUCKING COMMENT!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Moving on to the main event. )

Main Event: Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Magnus, James Storm and Gunner) vs. Team Roode (Bobby Roode, Chris Sabin, Daniels and Kaz)
Winners: Team Roode by DQ
(This was actually a good match to be the main event but too bad it didn't end the show. This was almost as good as an traditional Survivor Series match. I loved how the heels basically had this match won. Angle had to cheat to win. Something he remembered from the late Eddie Guerrero. This could have saved the show but just made me turn the channel and stop watching. )

Final Thoughts: Well the whole segment with Aces and Eights was funny as hell. I wished Bully Ray didn't ruin the ending. Also I know it is a holiday but we don't need lazy writing and really lazy booking. I actually had to change channels through most of it because it was either boring segments or lackluster events. What kills me is Dixie Carter trying to act like a heel and act like she is a big deal. She is trying too hard. Also, the reason why I didn't mention or cover the last segment is because I stopped watching the show. After the main event, it was done. Also since WWE Smackdown was coming on tomorrow, it was pointless to see two food fights. So see you all for WWE Smackdown.

WWE Raw Review 11/25/13

Note: So last night we got to see some old school matches and some cool things. Last night we got to see something that shouldn't be seen again. As we get ready for tonight's WWE Raw show, we need to admit that WWE is running out of ideals and also we need to admit that it is time for change in both WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown. I might be in the minority but change needs to come. Hopefully, tonight we get to see something different. Here's WWE Raw...

Match#1: Rey Mysterio, Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. The Shield
Winners: The Shield
(Well as the show starts, I think it is going to be different. I was so dead wrong. We get a rematch of sorts except no Real Americans or The Usos. This match was almost move for move. Except the ending was better. Roman Reigns is about to set a record of spearing people to death. His spear is not as sick as Goldberg but he is making it look like he is killing people. This wasn't a bad rematch but at the same time, we get SSDD. )

Match#2: Curtis Axel and Ryback vs. Big E. Langston and Mark Henry
Winners: Big E. Langston and Mark Henry
(This was another rematch except twice the match. Seeing Big E. and Mark Henry as a tag team proves this could be the ultimate tag team. I think other than that, this was just a double rematch from last night's PPV. I think it is sad to have another rematch because some people could have saved money not buying the PPV.  )

Match#3: Total Divas (Bella Twins, Eva Marie, JoJo, Natalya, Cameron and Naomi) vs. Non Total Divas (AJ Lee, Tamina, Aksana, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Kaitlyn and Summer Rae) - Elimination Tag Match
Winners: Total Divas (Bella Twins and Eva Marie)
(I won't comment on this because I said my peace last night. SSDD in the WWE. )

Match#4: Damien Sandow vs. Dolph Ziggler - Raw App Match/Hampton Hardcore Match
Winner: Damien Sandow
(Best match of the night...Why? This was just a match. I laughed, I cried, I was stunned to see Sandow win. This match was so good I want to see another hardcore match with these men. Someone online said they needed to bring back the Hardcore Title. I will agree with that statement. Dolph and Sandow should be in the main event and having good title matches. Thank you for this non rematch from the PPV. )

Match#5: The Wyatt Family vs. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan - 3 on 2 Handicap Match
Winners: No Contest
(This was a good match. I wished it did not end with a no contest. I think Punk and Bryan could have won again. However, this was to further their feud. What made me watch this was to see how Bray Wyatt was going to be added to this. He basically showed he is better than a gimmick wrestler. So while the Wyatt Family kidnapped Daniel Bryan, The Shield damn near kills CM Punk. So both these actions caused me not to change channels and watch every second of it. )

Match#6: The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston
Winner: The Miz
(SSDD in the WWE. Nothing more or nothing less. Moving on. )

Match#7: Heath Slater vs. Xavier Woods
Winner: Xavier Woods
(This was not a rematch. I am shocked that this was the match before the main event. So we get another NXT guy up in here. Ok cool. The people should see the people that have been doing good in NXT. Thank you WWE for showing us another mid carder.)

Main Event: Big Show and John Cena vs. Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio
Winners: Big Show and John Cena
(This is the final rematch of the night. Again, this is a double feature. Usually, you will see Cena win this and we go to sleep. However, looking at this match, we might see something different. ADR is not going to bore us in this match. As I am watching this match, I think it is sad that WWE insults the fans by ignoring their own history. 11 years ago we had the last unified champion. I also find it sad that TNA actually calls a match not joke around. I don't mind it but it is hard to see the match while Cole and Lawler are cracking jokes. Big Show is selling the hell out of being kicked. Doctor stops the match to check Big Show. So basically this is just a mess. Super Cena wins.)

Final Thoughts: Well this was suppose to be the better show. This was not a better show than the PPV. We got better shows after Wrestlemania than now. I left out the opening segment because I think it is bullshit to unify the WWE Title and World Heavyweight Title. 11 years ago, we had the unified title. The reason why it was split was to have a champ on WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown. So you mean to tell me that it is time to make Cena the unified champ? Bullshit. So that was left off but the show as a whole was basically same shit different day. We got to see some people have rematches. However, seeing that it is the week of Thanksgiving, we might see more action on Smackdown this Friday. So see you all for that and TNA Impact...

WWE Survivor Series PPV Review 11/24/13

Note: As a WWE fan, you are given four good PPVs during the year. As we get ready for the end of the year and the new year, Survivor Series is the PPV that gives fans a good alternative to watching football on Thanksgiving Day. I live in Detroit so usually Survivor Series is a perk before seeing the Detroit Lions lose or barely win on Turkey Day. Survivor Series is suppose to be the best PPV aside from Wrestlemania. This PPV seems like a very lackluster WWE Raw or WWE Smackdown. I hope I am wrong. Here's WWE Survivor Series PPV...

Pre-Show/Match#1: The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston
Winner: The Miz
(I will admit that seeing The Miz as a face was not good for me as a fan. He is a good heel. He is a good actor. He isn't for kids. That's what Kofi is. A kid friendly character. I was happy to see Miz as a heel and hope he is going to be back in the main event picture. He can be a champion. He is the future of WWE. Plus he can do more than five moves. As for Kofi, he is the king of the mid card and won't be looking to get out anytime soon. )

Match#2: The Usos, Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Rey Mysterio vs. The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) and The Shield - Traditional Survivor Series Match 5 on 5
Winner/Survivor: Roman Reigns
(Holy shit! This was what I was looking for with this PPV. Old school 5 on 5 match. This was like a 10 man tag on acid. All these guys should be comended for this epic match. The Usos should be in the tag team title picture. Cody and Goldust are at the best they can be and The Real Americans and The Shield are good. Roman Reigns in my chosen one. He will join his cousin The Rock as champion in the next 5 years. Holy shit, he was doing some crazy shit. Thank you guys for this match. )

Match#3: Big E. Langston vs. Curtis Axel - IC Title Match
Winner: Big E. Langston
(Usually, I don't care for rematch for titles but this was going to be a good rematch. I think it is fitting to see Big E. as a champion. He will be more than an IC title holder. He is going to be WHC someday. Axel has basically become like his father - irrelevent. This match serves as a lesson to all guys that you need to strive for more than mid card fame. )

Match#4: Total Divas Cast (Eva Marie, JoJo, Bella Twins, Natalya, Cameron and Naomi) vs. Non Total Divas (AJ Lee, Tamina, Kaitlyn, Alicia Fox, Aksana, Rosa Mendes and Summer Rae) - Traditional 7 on 7 Match
Winners/Survivors: Natalya and Nikki Bella
(As I was watching this match, I was wondering if WWE hates the women that work for them or if they could make this division more shittier than what it is now. So there are 14 women in the WWE that wrestle. Out of that number, maybe four can actually wrestle a good match. What made me happy was seeing AJ Lee and Tamina in this match. However, this was a female equivalent of a clusterfuck. I will also admit that all that naked ass was a good distraction. )

Match#5: Ryback vs. Mark Henry
Winner: Mark Henry
(Ryback was calling out people. What he got was the World's Strongest Man. However, the IWC was calling this man Rick Ross. Mark Henry shaved his dreadlocks and he does look like the rapper Rick Ross. This was basic and to the point. I miss seeing real heavyweight fight in the ring. I love Mark Henry but he is on my retirement list of guys who need to move on from wrestling. He will be good in the short run but after six months, move on Mark. As for Ryback, he is going to be in the mid card forever. )

Match#6: John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio - WHC Title Match
Winner: John Cena
(I will just speak my mind about this match because it is just going to be hard to be positive about this match. This was a homecoming for John Cena. Alberto Del Rio is just as boring but at least he is not as hated. The IWC hates him for many reason. I hate Cena for one - lack of change in his character. He and Kofi are basically characters for kids to idolize. Alberto Del Rio will be back in the title picture within the next few months. ADR is a shitty main eventer and Cena is truly a dick. This was so bad that I think people will forget that this match existed.  )

Match#7: The Best and the Beard (CM Punk and Daniel Bryan) vs. The Wyatt Family
Winners: The Best and the Beard (CM Punk and Daniel Bryan)
(Before I go into this match, I want to say to Zak Fellows, that his idol was back on WWE TV. People power was back in WWE PPV. Johnny Ace showed his face. This was the other best match of the night. I think it is sad that WWE thinks CM Punk or Daniel Bryan can't bring in buyrates for the PPVs. That's bullshit. What people want is to see change in the main event and also no more Super Cena. CM Punk is a main eventer. Daniel Bryan is a main eventer. This could have ended the PPV and people would have been happy. I know I change my mind about all three members of The Wyatt Family. Even though Bray Wyatt didn't wrestle, the other two guys did shut me up and change my mind that they can wrestle in the main event. Seperately they are mid carders, but together these men could be tag champs. Thank you WWE for this match but we need change in the main event. )

Main Event: Randy Orton vs. Big Show - WWE Title Match
Winner: Randy Orton
(Where to begin with this match? This was a flashback to 2005 or 2006. I think it is fitting that you got two guys who been in the WWE since before or after the Invasion angle. Orton and Big Show have been in title matches for years. Even though this time around the angles have changed. I was expecting Big Show to win the title and move on. I was hoping to see Triple H and Stephanie lose their minds. What we got was RKO going back to being the vicious man he was back in 2010 or 2011. We got to see the punt kick come back. We got to see RKO become a true heel. The match was a good match regardless but what was to come pissed off the entire IWC and bloggers like me. Earlier in the show, Cena and RKO had a stare off. As the PPV ended, we got to see another showdown with the WHC John Cena and the WWE Champ Randy Orton. Basically, Cena wasn't the main event but he was at the end of the show. Forgive me but WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TRYING TO DO JOHN CENA?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Time to end this review. )

Final Thoughts: As a kid, this show would basically have good and bad teams fighting to the last person. Lately, this has been a shitty blend of old school and mediocre TV. I loved the second and seventh matches because those matches had some hype and delivered. Rey Mysterio is not going to be the same person. I don't expect him to be good but he needs to retire ASAP. Roman Reigns is about to be a main eventer. The Wyatt Family is going to be a good faction and The Shield will end soon. I will admit to seeing AJ Lee and Tamina was good but the divas match was a clusterfuck. Even Michael Cole couldn't call this match right. I guess the WWE Raw show will be better tomorrow. See you all for WWE Raw.

WWE Smackdown Review 11/22/13

Note: Last night was so good that there was not a lot of bad things to say about TNA. That's a rare thing because usually TNA or WWE would do something during the week to make people stop watching. So with that said, we end the week of wrestling with WWE Smackdown. We did see some good things in WWE during WWE Raw but as we gear up to watch WWE Smackdown, I think it is funny that the PPV this weekend might be bad. With that said, let's watch WWE Smackdown...

Match#1: Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust - Tag Team Title Match
Winners: Cody Rhodes and Goldust
(I made a point last night that the opening match should not be with a title match but a very good and very hyped match. This was not very hyped and very good. I only say that because I think Cesaro was better off as a singles wrestler and Swagger is basically a jobber with a right wing gimmick. So this was hard to watch because it is sad to see good wrestlers go to waste in WWE. As for Goldust and Cody Rhodes, for now this tag team will get through the year. However, I wanted these brothers to do what Owen and Bret Hart did so many years ago, see who is the better brother. Until then, this is a team that cannot be beaten. This match was not good but it was not shitty.)

Match#2: Ryback vs. The Great Khali
Winner: Ryback
(This can be summed up in one word - Boring. Moving on. )

Match#3: Cameron and Naomi vs. AJ Lee
Winners: Cameron and Naomi
(Vickie got her revenge for her shitty match with AJ Lee on WWE Raw. All I have to say is that I got to see AJ Lee and Tamina. Other than that, this was a waste of time for the Divas champ. More so pointless because we all know this was to help aid the cast of Total Divas. I say bullshit....Moving on. )

Match#4: The Usos and Rey Mysterio vs. The Shield
Winners: The Usos and Rey Mysterio
(All this match was a setup for their match this weekend. Plus we got to see Rey back in action. Too bad he will retire by next year. I don't have a lot to say because of the fact that this match was pointless in my opinion. Moving on. )

Match#5: Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston vs. Curtis Axel and Damien Sandow
Winners: Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston
(So who was the genius that said it was a good ideal to put Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston back together? I mean it was weird to see Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston acting like they are friends again. Since AJ Lee is not a face and Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston aren't heels, it is going to be weird to not see them together. This match was weird because not only Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston was together but seeing Curtis Axel and Damien Sandow was weirder. I did actually like this match but I know this will be done again on WWE Raw on Monday. )

Match#6: Prime Time Players vs. 3MB
Winners: Prime Time Players
(Well I am going to say this was boring. I am sorry but these guys are gimmicks fighting to be popular. Moving on to the end. )

Main Event: Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper
Winner: Daniel Bryan
(This was another match that was hyping up the PPV. I wanted to watch this just because of Daniel Bryan. However, my attention was gone at this point of the show. I did actually watch this match thoroughly. I guess it was hard to watch this match because Daniel Bryan had to carry this match. Other than that, I just wanted this show to end.)

Final Thoughts: Well I am going to say something funny but R-Truth was the best thing on TV tonight. Why? His funny as fuck skit during the WWE Shop segment was the best thing on TV. This was better than seeing AJ Lee. That's saying a lot. I will say this show was basically a repetition of the matches for this weekend's PPV. I think unlike TNA, WWE tends to assume their fans can't remember shit. I remember a lot. Especially with their lack of continuity. I just will say to you all that this weekend might have some classic Survivor Series matches but this is more plain than eating vanilla ice cream. So see you all for WWE Survivor Series PPV. By the way, who was the dumb shit to invite Michael Strahan to WWE Raw? Really?
