WWE Raw Review 11/18/13

Note: I am going to say this now that this is not going to be a good week for wrestling. WWE is having their third best PPV of the year this Sunday but it feels like the hype of this PPV is lacking. TNA is having their PPV like TV show on Thursday. To me, this is not going to be good because either WWE will fuck up Survivor Series, or TNA will kill off their PPV TV show. I hope I am wrong because if I am right, nice way to make the end of the year less worth it. As for tonight's WWE Raw, well I am not a fan of country music. I feel this is sucking up to some of their fans because they are in Nashville. I want to see when they come to Cleveland they do a Rock and Roll Show or come to Detroit and do a Motown show, or even come to a city where Rap is king. Themes on WWE Raw makes it less likely to make real fans watch. Here's WWE Raw...

Opening Segment: Triple H and Stephanie McMahon comes out to say they are back and ready to lead. RKO comes out to bitch. Brad Maddox and Vickie Guerrero comes out and Maddox blames Vickie for last Monday's show. Triple H puts both GM's in matches tonight.
(Last week's opening segment was a clusterfuck. This wasn't a clusterfuck. According to Triple H, both GMs needed to be punished. I agree with him on that because Kane was the man in charge. However, what was funny was seeing the GMs come out to make it worse not better.)

Match#1: Randy Orton vs. Brad Maddox
Winner: RKO
(This was comedically funny. I never saw an ass whooping like this in a couple of years. This was bad but good. Brad Maddox basically was beat worse than a government mule. This was Triple H punishing him. He got the point. What was funny was when he was led out by EMTs Vickie knew she was screwed. )

Match#2: Curtis Axel vs. Big E. Langston
Winner: Big E. Langston
(I cried when he won. Why? Big E. just proved that anyone can win a title. Without Heyman, Axel is back in the mid card and might be seen on WWE Superstars or WWE Main Event soon. This was a proud moment for some fans because this just proves that WWE can make stars out of their kids from NXT. Thank you WWE for this moment of history. )

Match#3: Big Show vs. Ryback
Winner: Big Show
(This was looking good as a match. We had some good points and some bad points. What shocked me was that Ryback kept the pace of the match. Big Show was not slow but he was acting hurt. He wasn't. I think it was funny to see this match come to be because Ryback is back to killing jobbers and mid card shuffling. This was a warm up for Big Show's title match this Sunday.)

Match#4: The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) vs. Kofi Kingston and The Miz
Winners: The Real Americans
(The Miz turned heel. About time! That's all I want to say about this match. Moving on...)

Match#5: Vickie Guerrero vs. AJ Lee
Winner: AJ Lee
(So Vickie tried to get out of this match. She was about to go to the hospital but Stephanie McMahon caught her and she was led to the ring in a stretcher. I would say this was a waste of time for AJ Lee but I think this was worth the time. I think it was funny to see AJ Lee go along with Vickie's fake fainting. Also it was funny to see Tamina go along with anything. The thing that made this worth it was seeing Vickie in the Black Widow move and her tapping out. Actually, seeing Vickie smacking AJ's ass or thigh was worth the time. )

Match#6: Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
(So this was basically a hardcore match with musical instruments. This was a good ideal that actually worked. Seeing both men use guitars, drums, chairs, violins, and even electric guitars was cool. This just proves that these men could make matches out of anything. I do think both men should be in the main event not in the mid card. I think as good as this match was this could have been a title match. )

Main Event: The Shield and Wyatt Family vs. The Usos, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan
Winners: The Usos, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan
(This was the best match of the night and should be the top contender for match of the year. This was kind of what the fans want to see. We wanted to see The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield but this was just as good. This match wasn't a clusterfuck because this was actually setup last week. That was not a clusterfuck either. This had all the signs of being what WWE can be and what it should be as we go into the new year. Everyone had a role to fill and they did their jobs. What was funny was seeing Rey Mysterio come out to do the 619 and getting a pop. That's how you end a show. )

Final Thoughts: Well like I said, I hate country music. Most of this show was like watching CMT. Nothing but short clips of country music songs. Then we had to get a concert from the flavor of the month - Florida Georgia Line. I was happy to change channels when they showed that mess. That part was the least to worry about. Seeing Vickie and Brad in matches was not good for business and also not good to waste time of the WWE Champ and the WWE Divas Champ. That was both funny to watch and sad to see. No comment on the 3MB changing gimmicks. Nothing could make me see that happen again. What did piss me off was the Divas musical chair segment. That was a huge waste of time with all those women in the ring. Thank god that there will be a huge Divas match at the PPV. I might let this mess go just to see 14 women in the ring. As for the show as a whole, well the main event saved this show. Why? This is what the fans wanted to see. However, WWE did fuck up the matches for the PPV. We wanted to see The Shield and Wyatt Family brawl. By the way, Rey Mysterio is back on WWE.....Finally! See you all for the shitty but hopefully entertaining PPV TV episode of TNA Impact.
