WWE Smackdown Review 6/14/13

Note: Well after watching a good TNA show, it is time to see how WWE will convince me that Payback is not going to suck. I just hope tonight's show will not make me change channels or skip the show after the first hour. WWE is known for pissing off people before a PPV. See WM29 and possibly this year's Royal Rumble. Well let's watch WWE Smackdown and see if they can salvage fans and get people to watch this PPV this weekend.

Opening Segment: Daniel Bryan comes out to kick off SmackDown. He cuts a promo and is very over with the crowd. Kane comes out and Bryan says he's breaking up Team Hell No so he can be tag champions with Randy Orton. Kane says they won't win. Bryan asks if it's because Kane thinks he's the weakest link. Kane chokes Bryan and Orton comes out to stop him. Orton says if Kane hurts Bryan, he hurts his team for Sunday. Orton threatens to RKO Kane. Bryan says he doesn't need help. The Shield appears on the big screen and laughs. They love the problems going on in the ring.
(This was both comedic and also a good way to start the show. We all know that Daniel Bryan is about to get the push to the main event again. This also shows that going into the PPV that Smackdown is not going to have a strong card to support the shitty Raw side of the card. Good opening segment. )

Match#1: Sheamus vs. Antonio Cesaro
Winner: Sheamus
(After the best opening segment in recent history, this was the shittiest match of Smackdown. SSDD in action. Moving on. )

Match#2: Heath Slater vs. The Great Khali
Winner: Heath Slater
(Well I think I have something to go HAM about tonight. Where to begin with this shit? I know that WWE has a bad habit of allowing good talent go to waste. There have been times where shitty talent becomes main events. This match just proved to me that Vince McMahon screwed the pooch. First of all, why did this match happened on WWE Smackdown? Why did Slater win? Finally, what the fuck was this match going to prove? This was the most shittiest thing ever on TV. This was so bad that I might have lost faith in WWE for the present. )

Match#3: Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston
Winners: ADR and Y2J
(Thank god this match made me love wrestling again. I was happy to see Ziggler back in the ring not outside the ring. I was happy to see that the added attention has not gone to Big E's head. I was happy to see ADR and Y2J click as a team. There was no asscheek popping out. This was a good match. Loved how it started and loved how it ended. Thank you WWE for this rare gem. )

Match#4: Aksana vs. Kaitlyn
Winner: No Contest
(Holy shit! My sexy she beast is pissed. I loved how WWE made the whole secret admirer angle worth the wait. Also loved how AJ is being more of an evil bitch. Kaitlyn was alright but now it is clear that Kaitlyn is better than average. This was actually better than seeing them wrestle. I will be sad to see Kaitlyn lose the title to AJ but then again, seeing them in the ring might be FAP worthy.)

Match#5: Curtis Axel vs. Wade Barrett
Winner: Curtis Axel
(Why? Nothing against Curtis Axel, Wade Barrett or The Miz but why is WWE trying to kill the IC title. This match was basically the IC contenders showing off before the PPV. I love the IC title because it was the workhorse title. This was the equivalent to the X Division title in TNA. This would lead to a title shot. Now, it is a joke. People don't even remember the last triple crown winner in WWE. CM Punk is a possible contender but now the IC title is shit. So moving on because this whole thing was sad. )

Main Event: Randy Orton, Kane and Daniel Bryan beat Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose
Winners: Team RK-Hell No (Randy Orton, Kane and Daniel Bryan)
(I am going to go to the end because this match was so good that speaking of it might make me change my mind. Thank you WWE for this gem. )

Final Thoughts: Well this is another show where the ending saves the show. I think seeing The Shield lose was a good thing because of the dysfunctionality of Randy Orton, Kane and Daniel Bryan. As for the rest of the show, well that would depend on the constant recapping and also the constant lack of what's to come. This weekend's PPV is called Payback but I wish it was called SSDD. See you all for the PPV. By the way, new WWE drinking game. Do a shot for each time the WWE App is mentioned or when they adverstise for someone else.
