TNA Impact Review 9/26/13

Note: So what's going on with TNA? It seems like last week Dixie Carter pulled a Vince McMahon. Why? Well I guess she is tired of being the good business woman and tired of the comments from AJ Styles. Also what's going on with Aces and Eights? Are we going to see the end of this group that is a biker version of NWO? Hopefully, something is going to happen tonight. Basically TNA is changing because no more Mickie James, no more Ken Anderson, and no more originality. Here's TNA Impact...

Match#1: Robbie E, Jessie Godderz, and Gail Kim vs. Joseph Park, Eric Young, and ODB
Winners: ODB, Eric Young, and Joseph Park
(I want to know who booked this match. This was a terrible booking on TNA's part. Why? OBD and Gail Kim could have a better match on their own. At least those women can wrestle a match. Why is Eric Young still wrestling in TNA when he has his own show on another network? Why are we still seeing Joseph Parks when we could see Abyss? I gave up on this match and was fixing dinner. Moving on.....)

Match#2: Kenny King vs. Austin Aries
Winner: Austin Aries
(This was a better match to see than the above one. At least seeing guys of this caliber does get my attention. What makes this a better match is that there was action and was good enough to keep my attention. Plus I like both these men and see both in the main event for a title or fighting to get a title shot. This was probably one of the best matches of the night.)

Match#3: Chris Sabin vs. Manik - X Division Title Match
Winner: Manik
(Holy shit! I get my wish to see the X Division Title being defended. Don't care who has it and don't care when or why but happy to see this title defended. I was happy to see this because I bitched about not seeing this title defended. Also what pisses me off was the lack of guys in the division. With that said, this was a treat. Don't care if Sabin is heel now. Loved this match and love to see this title being showcased more on TV.)

Main Event: Aces & 8s (Wes Brisco, Garett Bischoff, and Knux) vs. Main Event Mafia (Magnus, Sting, and Samoa Joe)
Winners: Sting and Samoa Joe
(When I was watching this match, all I could think of is when will these factions go away. Aces and Eight look like a jobber squad when they are without all the guys that had name recognition. Main Event Mafia is only in existence because of Sting. Once he leaves then what? So basically this was sad to watch and depressing to even talk about. One more thing to go!!!!)

After The Main Event: Hulk Hogan is in the ring already. He has a clipboard in hand. He has a mic. He says there is a lot of bad blood between AJ and Dixie. He wants to call out the man for Team TNA as he fights against Bully Ray at Bound for Glory. Music hits and here comes AJ Styles. He comes down with his leather jacket and hood. He takes the hood off as the music changes. He has a baseball cap on under it. He gets in the ring and meets with Hulk. Hulk ands AJ the mic and Hulk grabs another one. Hulk says he has been around the block a few times and the place was so crazy that he couldn’t spit out how great it was for AJ to win the BFG Series. He knows AJ is going to win the title at the PPV. He can’t have a champion without a contract though. Here is the contract. Hulk already signed it. He hands it to AJ. AJ goes to sign it, but he goes to talk. Before he can say anything, Hulk tells AJ that they love him and want him to get the title. AJ looks at the contract and signs it. He says, “I’m yours.” Just then, Dixie carter walks out and apologizes for the interruption. Dixie gets in the ring. She doesn’t want to be rude, but she wants to remind Hulk the reason why she brought Hulk into TNA. She brought him for the opportunities to make things great. He taught her so much and he opened a lot of opportunities. However, he is just an employee. She will improve Hulk though as an employee. She turns to AJ and says he has to get down on his knees and beg. The reality is staring him in the face. Dixie says he is just another marginal figure. She grabs the contract from the clipboard and rips it up. Hulk has no idea what is going on. Dixie turns and yells at AJ to get out of the ring. AJ goes to talk back, but Dixie overrides him. He tosses the mic at her feet and leaves the ring. Dixie says she probably knows Hulk is mad, just like everyone, but no one has lived like Dixie. They don’t understand the decisions she make. The 99% who attacked her for the last 4 or 5 months need her. The 1% are the creators. Hulk is holding his head. Dixie understands what Hulk is doing, but he should have ran what he was going to do with her before he came out. She goes on to state that they know what it takes to take the company to another level. Does he want to be part of it? Dixie asks Hulk whether he is going to be on Team Dixie or sit on the sidelines with AJ. He will give Hulk a week to decide, and she knows he will do the right thing. Dixie leaves the ring and walks backstage. Hulk Hogan looks on. He is stunned. The End.
(This whole angle looks familar to me. I mean we see AJ Styles as the ungrateful hero. Dixie Carter is the pissed off management type. Hogan is just there but is not part of the equation. This looks just like what CM Punk went through back in 2011 with his pipebomb and the whole thing with Triple H and Vince. So the TNA version is where Dixie basically could lose her Cena. Also why bother asking if Hogan is on her team? The fans want to see Hogan leave wrestling for good. Retire!!!! I copied this part from NODQ.com review of TNA because my version would have been short and sweet. )

Final Thoughts: There was two matches in this show that kept my attention. The sad thing is that this show looked short as fuck. There was more non wrestling going on than actual matches. I find that fucked up because TNA could actually do a full show with nothing but matches and in ring interviews. Basically, I wasted two hours when I could have watch two matches and moved on. However, as a wrestling fan, I push forward and move to the next show. See you all for WWE Smackdown.
